Good news, my uncle left the hospital after 24 days. On a negative note though, two of my sisters co-workers tested positive, my sister and another doctor are the only ones in their sector who still are able to work. It feels like it´s only a matter of time before she´s infected. Brazil is on its way to overtake the US and become the epicenter of the disease in the coming weeks. It shouldn´t have come to this but unfortunately we have a sociopath as president.9 points

https://arstechnica.com/cars/2020/05/musk-dares-county-officials-to-arrest-him-as-he-re-opens-fremont-factory/?comments=1 This started a little while ago and is now turning into an Elon vs Government battle. This little statement is even more hilarious. "Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules," Musk tweeted. "I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me." I don't know whats more hilarious, that this guy is supposedly smart or that he thinks that Tesla manufacturing is an essential service so he can break the rules whenever he feels like it. I hope they jail him and everyone at that plant to drive the point home when he does reopen and they deny him bail as well.1 point

Bit like Carnivore Chris mentioned above, if I need to do shopping it's either the small Tesco Express or Nisa nearby. After hearing the abuse my sister has had from the thick fucking cunts (from what she said), I can't be arsed with any of the main stores.1 point

This is why I only go to booths now. It's simpler and easier. I'd end up fighting in the likes of Asda, it's just not worth it mate. Booths is quieter and easy. Much better quality as well in fact, even if it is a bit more expensive.1 point

Up to episode 7 now and you are probably right to skip it, It does have some interesting sci-fi related material in it but for the most part it relies on the horror/gore/blood to do a lot of the talking.. some really strange stuff as well, kind of reminds me a little bit of some of the scenes in that film 'Event Horizon' which I doubt you have seen... sort of along those lines1 point

I personally don’t think we locked down too early, the fatigue is showing now and people are breaking the rules at an increasing rate. Car traffic is much heavier and as they say we’re now past the peak it’s been timed right, if we’d have gone a fortnight earlier we’d have probably started breaking lockdown earlier and prolonged it in my opinion. I’ve been lucky enough to be a key worker working nationwide so I’ve worked throughout even had holidays cancelled for it. Motorways were fun the first couple of weeks did Scotland in record time. I’ve also stopped watching the questions part of the briefing and mainstream media analysis in general as it’s descended into ideological shit slinging now. One of the companies I’ve been supporting on the ventilator project is a team made up of virologist, medical scientists etc and they’re all pretty much saying comparison data at present from the media is just shite. Population density, ethnicity, temperature, obesity, age, health care system & recording system all are varying factors from country to country so it’s utter horse shit. They will direct from official papers and reports and that will take months. The death toll will be much higher than predicted however from not direct covid-19 but more the effect it has had on society. what I mean by that is that our success rates with cancer and other disease will be worse, I was talking to a senior consultant for A&E in London and she said that “where are they all? People aren’t visiting hospital” this will have a knock on effect as we have effectively had a 2 month holiday and this is life or death in diagnosing life threatening illness. Also finally James Dyson what a cunt, he didn’t get his ventilators because he’s a petulant little child, a real life bell end. The cunt spent the best part of a week delayed his whole project which was sound and had been worked out by proper medical scientist to try and get his “patented cyclone technology” intergrated. It’s cost him massively the silly cunt. It’s not lost on me that people most effected from this virus 50+ remember the tales told by their folks about the war and the “blitz spirit” is most embodied by them.1 point

wednesday4life was sadly one of those bitter posters you get on forums, and we do get them now and again. They are generally a negative nancy on everything and anything, and would argue the grass isn't green or the sky isn't blue if they could. Like a dog with a bone. That was him to a tee. He was almost as bitter in life as Weird World was with England/the English. Anything to do with England National Team, Premier League, English fans, English anything, he would slate till the cows come home. He wound himself up he had that much hate for us inside1 point

Teso was a bellend. I'm amazed anyone took him remotely seriously. I just assumed basically everything he posted was total bollocks anyway. Tell you who I miss, and actually still speak to a bit on Twitter - Ren, Coventry fan. Him and Kel had some super arguments. Kel back in the day genuinely had me in tears. She posted a good ten paragraph rant after a game against Southampton once and the best thing about it is they won1 point
