Call me mad but I'd honestly take Mandzukic on a free for us for six months. Similar sort of deal to Cavani. Not a starter, but very much an alternative. Massive experience, totally different style of striker, would certainly do better today than what Iheanacho did etc... I just don't personally see the harm.

I more and more like the sound of this Reading midfielder as well, Olise. £8mil release clause apparently. That's our kind of signing.

A striker and a top DM so we can play 4-3-3 again ..Pep doesn't like to add players mid season though

What's up with Rodri? Not convincing?

If I'm not wrong, City has an option to buy back Douglas Luiz, I wonder if they'll pull the trigger.

Correct, we do have a buy back clause on Luiz  ..Rodrigo is struggling at the minute, not fast enough to cover the middle or strong enough in the tackle  ..we need another Fernandinho or De Jong type who will run his arse off

We have a lot of players in our team so need to cut down on a few of those but also we are in need of some improvements all over too so it could be a busy one for us. Of course, that all rides on us finding a new manager soon!

We could do with a centre back but I don't think we'll do any business tbh.

The only thing that wouldn't surprise me is if we went in for Dan James on loan, someone whose constantly been linked to us, just to add another option to the attack.

Arteta talking about offloading players in January - could help our enquiries to have Sead back on loan to try and sort out our pathetic defence on the right side.  If Everton will let us have Johnny back again that would sort out the main problem, but we still need a striker who knows the difference between the goal posts and the corner flags!

As a team we’re pretty set, goalkeeper and defence is fine, midfield is great and we’re still waiting on our best midfielder to play a part in the season which should be soon as he played against Newcastle and turned the game. Pretty sure we’ve scored as many goals this season as we did last season and our style of play has changed to accomodate our forwards this year.

If anything I’d like to see us invest in a left sided forward to help take the pressure off of Toney, but we also still have Forss on the bench so there’s options.

I said when they signed him that he wouldn't do the job City will be asking of him. Fernandinho covered a lot of ground as a sole DM under Pep. Rodri is far too slow to match his effectivness.

Thank you Captain, my Captain.  All we need now is for Mustafa to persuade his son to come back as well - that is if we can afford his wages!  Will Skype dad and see what he thinks...:dam:

Would be nice to see Ozil play again but a move is probably unlikely. Sokratis is available though. Maybe Reiss Nelson or Maitland-Niles on loan as well. Our manager has half the squad annoyed.

We are in a weird position where, despite being bad form, there are no immediate positions thar need strengthening.

What we have though is a shocking number of people out of contract: Guaita, Hennessey, Henderson, PVA, Mitchell, Ward, Clyne, Dann, Sakho, Kelly, Cahill, McArthur, Meyer, Schlupp, Townsend, Benteke and Wickham. Not to mention the coaching staff. The priority is figuring out exactly where we stand with those players.

McArthur, Mitchell and Guiata should be priorities to get renewed. I'd happily see Clyne, Ward, Dann, Kelly, Cahill, Schlupp, Townsend and Benteke stay providing the contract is beneficial for our circumstance. Meyer, Hennessey and Wickham need to go for their sake as much as ours.

If the likes of Michail Olise and Bright Osayi-Samuel are available for knock down prices then I imagine we will be keen. It may be a case of signing players to loan them back with the intention of playing them next season.
