Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted June 28, 2021 Subscriber Posted June 28, 2021 Last time there was a comedy of errors in a match during this tournament it ended in a high scoring game for the team that didn't have the howler. I hope it happens again.
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted June 28, 2021 Subscriber Posted June 28, 2021 The 9th own goal of the tournament.

Inverted Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 It's just arrogance all round. "Oh we're so comfortable in possession, I'm going to absolutely fire this pass back to my goalie, on target, and not even bother keeping it on the deck" "Oh look how casually I trap this really terrible pass back before I recycle posses - oh shit"
Spike Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 If you were to watch Eng v Cron and this game back to back, you’d think that Croatia had a new squad

Spike Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Spain have some strong runners, they’d probably be more dangerous on the counter. It seems mosts of their proactive passes are coming from chips from Laporte

Spike Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Woo Spain showed some cool heads keeping that attack alive
Michael Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Nice goal by Sarabia, he's been one of their best players at these Euros so far.
Subscriber Dan+ Posted June 28, 2021 Subscriber Posted June 28, 2021 Spain really aren't bad. Extremely frustrating but they aren't bad.

Moderator Tommy Posted June 28, 2021 Moderator Posted June 28, 2021 I've never seen so many shitty owngoals in one tournament.

They lack Ansu Fati. 4 minutes ago, Cicero said: Ruined his career moving to PSG. Could've been the main man at another club. He should have stayed at Sevilla to be honest. He was perfect for them and they are closer and closer to challenging for the title all the time. If they kept players like that, they would go on and actually achieve it. Another wasted player currently on the pitch is Laporte at City. A complete waste and he'll be trapped there now as they won't sell him.
Azeem Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Is it just me or none of the 'big' national teams feel big anymore ?

There aren't really any top sides right now. Makes you wonder where it ends up at club level. Liverpool to me kind of sum up where it's gone - they're a top team but I do feel even then they are largely that because they're better than the sum of their parts, and their recruitment model is built around buying a very specific player. I feel like that's the new age top club. Man City are similar as well really.

I can’t think of the last time a club won the CL with that much comfort.
Spike Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Well who are the superstars of the next generation? Who takes up the mantle of being the most globally recognised player?
