LFCMadLad Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 I wonder if after Splurging £182m on Sanchez Mourinho will still be moaning about not being able to keep up with City financially?
Panna King Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Not sure where Mkhitaryan will fit in at Arsenal unless Ozil leaves. Still a strange deal by Arsenal but he was going to go anyway.
Cicero Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Maybe @Fusion will post more with his dream finally realised.

LFCMadLad Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Not sure why everyone is getting so excited about a Barcelona reject that has regressed at a club that has fallen way behind the other top clubs in this league
Smiley Culture Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Mkhitaryan on joining United "I am very proud to join Manchester United. This move is a dream come true for me." Mkhitaryan on joining Arsenal ""It's a dream come true because I've always dreamed of playing for Arsenal." Footballers are such monotonous, robotic bores
Machado Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Bit late for United isn't it? But he can still play in the CL, which is very good for them.

Come on. He still needs that £300m to do anything decent. 43 minutes ago, Kitchen Sales said: Swap deals are real? I thought they only happened on ESMS football management games. Speaking of which.......

I don't think teams these days struggle to accommodate more than one #10-type player, and Mkhitaryan has played all around the attack in his career.

SirBalon Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I think someone has already mentioned it but Alexis is (or can be) the perfect Mourinho player. Now that he’s (Alexis Sánchez) happy due to getting the wages he was dreaming of, he will offer what he can naturally which is top quality (world class on his day) attacking football and also a high end work rate tracking back and lots of tackiling of rival players with high intensity. If that isn’t an almost pornographic type erotic dream of what Mourinho wants in his style of play, then I don’t know what is.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted January 23, 2018 Subscriber Posted January 23, 2018 If Arsenal come out of this window with this swap and then Aubamayeng then it’s been a very good January. Very good move all round for both clubs, I think both players will do better at their new clubs than they have been doing for the past 6 months/1 year at their previous club.
6666 Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Good move for both clubs but don't know why Man Utd were so desperate for him as Sanchez doesn't seem like a Mourinho sort of player. Reportedly 500k a week as well. If he's another big signing that flops at Man Utd since Ferguson's departure then... then it'll be funny.

It wont be a good window as Arsenal are not strengthening the positions they need to , that is defensive midfield and centre back.

Aubameyang dream will come true also as he seems to have issues with work rate, lazy and can continue to do whatever he does without no threat to his starting place as Wenger seems happy for his players to do whatever they want.

I don't think it will be, Sanchez will be good at Man Utd as he has high work rate and now he has his interest back he will give 110%, its just the players around him upfront might be frustrating for him.
Happy Blue Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Quote MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Paul Pogba has demanded that his wages are doubled to match that of Alexis Sanchez, it is reported. Man utd are expected to complete the signing of Sanchez from Arsenal over the next 48 hours after the Chilean had a medical at Old Trafford last night. And the attacker is set to pocket £500,000-a-week to make him the highest paid player in Britain, Express Sport understands. However, that will upset the balance of the Red Devils dressing room and Pogba is said to be taking a stand to ensure his wages are brought up to scratch with Sanchez. The French midfielder currently earns £200,000-a-week but he wants that doubled at least. Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola has told United that his current wage structure is no longer sufficient for a player of his stature. The 24-year-old has three years remaining on his current deal, which he signed two years ago after making an £89million switch from Juventus. United do have the option to extend his contract for a further year, but the report adds a bumper extension will have to be tabled for him to accept. Well, we could see this coming a mile away, united have open a can of worms!
Administrator Stan Posted January 23, 2018 Administrator Posted January 23, 2018 there's no direct quote him saying this
Administrator Stan Posted January 23, 2018 Administrator Posted January 23, 2018 just realised this is an old story given the second line says they're expected to complete the signing of Sanchez...
Burning Gold Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 14 minutes ago, Stan said: there's no direct quote him saying this There wouldn't be. A modern day footballer would never damage his PR by publicly say he wants a massive pay-rise, just like a manager who isn't employed by Barcelona would never publicly say he wants to sign a certain player. That said, the source is the Express so it's likely bollocks anyway. 2 hours ago, VanPaddy said: Aubameyang dream will come true also as he seems to have issues with work rate, lazy and can continue to do whatever he does without no threat to his starting place as Wenger seems happy for his players to do whatever they want. I actually think the Aubameyang signing is extremely promising for Arsenal. For a long time you've been guilty of persisting with sub-par players, but it's taken you just six months to realise Lacazette isn't good enough and address the issue. Either Wenger's changing his ways or someone else is starting to call the shots.
