Teso, defend this, I dare you xD

Mourinho, chequebook manager extraordinaire and winner of the major leagues and cups, gets outdone by a caretaker manager in his second game in charge. xD

How nice of Mourinho to gift wrap Pep and City the title.

Why lose to City at the Ethiad for them to win the title when you can lose at home against West Brom?

If it's possible to take any solace from this, it's that Man Utd have basically managed to deny Man City of their dream title win, and replaced it with the most boring one imaginable.

When we won the Championship, I was absolutely livid that it happened without us playing, because it was clear we were going up and it was shite having it done not playing.

But that one was different. That was just too big to leave down to chance. I didn't care how we won that one in the end just that we did.

All top managers have bad games.. This is nothing compared to losing to everton 4-0 with Davies and holgate starting (city had 71% possession)

#season3👊⭕🔴💯

It is easily worse.

Pep - koeman

Sterling /Stones -Davies /Holgate

71% possession - 29% possession

0 goals- 4 goals

Is you hungover or heartbroken like FOYM?? Either that or a poor trolling attempt

Love how people like Cicero makes fun of mourinho bad results but not a word about pep.

Lost to both Barcelona and RM 4-0 with bayern

West Brom have won 1 game in 30, are all but down, have a caretaker in charge of them and losing to them has handed Man City the title.

Yes, that is worse than losing 4-0 to Everton, who weren't even bad back then either.

i love how people go on about Pep spending money to win the title.

Surely that's better than spending something like £90m and not winning the title...?

They have spent the most but it's a moot point. Everyone at the top has spent loads (granted you'd say Spurs are well behind some of them) and they actually have a side to show for it. They're on another level to Man Utd.

Pretty drab way to celebrate winning the title I must say... I am sure City would have preferred it if they had won it on a day they were actually playing rather than hearing about while on the golf course... Still, congrats to City.. played far and away the best football this season so thoroughly deserved...

I was blown away with those world class tactics earlier. It really does take something spectacular to make Sanchez, Lukaku, Pogba and Mata so utterly useless against this dreadful West Brom side. Not many could've pulled that out the bag.

If you look the last couple of years about 50-60m is what separates City and United in spending, and funnily enough the same separates United and Liverpool, now look at the point differences

What? Since Klopp took over we have one of the lowest net spends in the league? In fact we are in profit by about £20m.

Net spend metschpend. That's for the businessmen at your club, money you've put out on actual players regardless of what you've made hasn't been far off of United.

Mourinho can only do so much. The players and the ref are to blame. Mourinho has proven time after time how his tactics deliver trophies(to klopp fans, thats the shiny reward you get when you win a final) players not following directions doesnt mean the coach didnt do his job properly. What Valverde did versus Roma, now that's bad tactics. He had no idea how to change the tactics during the game. But hey, only fucking man utd/Mourinho gets criticized

The penalty decision was a tough call. I’ll agree on the Mourinho criticism though. Had Pep masterminded a comeback from 2-0 down, it’s a masterclass in tactics. Mourinho does it and it’s a City capitulation with little to do with the manager.

However, the football he has us playing 90% of the time is fucking awful. Effective, but awful.

Yeah, you're the only team on the planet to ever have any tactical criticism.

Come on, that side you had out there should be slapping West Brom. You can't say there's a single attacking player who Mourinho's got the best out of this season other than maybe Lingard.

Bailly - 30m
Lindelof - 30m
Pogba - 90m
Lukaku - 70m
Mikhitaryen - 27m
Matic - 30m

Total - 277m

Karius - 5m
Mane - 30m
Klavan - 4m
Wijnaldum- 23m
Salah - 37m
Robertson -  8m
Ox- 35m
Van Dijk - 70m

Total - 217m

60m more than us and we aren't even taking into account the huge wages on Sanchez and Ibra. To have spent that much you'd expect more than a point difference. Not to mention we play football those trotters could only dream of playing.

As far as I'm concerned the points are just a reflection of spending but the truth is that when you spend that amount on the players they've spent on, then you expect football resembling Liverpool or Man City (somewhere along those lines).  I really have no idea why Mourinho wants to buy talented technical players when his football is based on rigid counter attacking stuff and defensive to the limits once a lead has been achieved.
