Xhaka will be a big miss for this. He's been playing extremely well. Not sure if a Ramsey/Torreira central midfield will be too attacking or not. Either way, it'd be disappointing to not win considering how both teams are playing. Would be classic Mourinho to strangle the game unconcious and then bring on Fellaini to steal the win.

Surely United get absolutely dicked here and the board have to actually make a decision.

Then again there's always that chance because it's Mourinho and it's Arsenal that somehow the visitors end up playing shit for no apparent and United win a lethargic 2-0 with a Mata free kick and a random thunderbolt from Matic.

Mourinho knew how to get the better of Wenger every time. What's his record against Emery though?

Don't think Mourinho has ever lost against Emery.

The same as Emery had never beaten Barcelona on countless attempts while coaching in Spain...

Then one day he beat Barcelona 4-0 in Paris with PSG... He had broken the curse!

Two weeks later they lost 6-1 at the Camp Nou! xD

You couldn’t write it....

Records are there to be broken.

What a glorious game of football both those matches were. So, going by that logic you'll lose this match and win the reverse fixture

So he only gets his squad ready for the game against us? O.o

his record against arsenal is very good, despite being in similarly bad positions, before... Lets see if Emery can change that, I hope he does that.

I remember the last game at the Emirates where we completed battered them but De Gea played ridiculously well and we ended up losing 3-1. A game where the scoreline didn't make sense when you looked at the stats. 75% possession to their 25%, 16 shots on target to their 4.

That was because of Wenger, Mourinho always got one over him so Wenger probably had a negative effect on the team.

I smell a score draw or the Gunners are going to put us to the sword, as @DeadLinesman said: " If Arsenal could just do us a favour and score after 20 seconds, we might just turn up". Wouldnt mind them scoring 2 and we go into the second half 0-2 down and win 3-2...then again, just remembered, Jose is in charge, not SAF.

The official site is showing the 8-2 triumph again on video, not going to bother showing that on here as it might be a bad omen and we lose 8-2.

OUR RECORD AGAINST ARSENAL
We’ve faced the Gunners on 227 previous occasions, the first of which was in 1894. We have a slightly better record over the years than Arsenal and have won 98 times compared to their 82. There have also been 47 draws between the teams. In the last meeting, at Old Trafford in April, United triumphed 2-1 thanks to a late winner from Marouane Fellaini.

Did you know?

Jose has come up against Arsenal in the Premier League on 15 occasions and has only lost once. He has won seven and drawn seven against the Gunners.
