May the best team win, Ole has not lost a league match yet so it might end up us losing this one but I fancy a score draw, if Jose had still been in charge then I think Liverpool would have given us a hammering and Jose would have blamed the tea-lady because...I don't know...something?  scratch_chin.gif

I don't think this will end in draw. One team will win here and walk away. Do I think its us? Based on current form and way we've been doing its hard to say that we won't create chances its just the bigger problem which is putting them away. I never want United to win against us and I believe their players will want to show everyone that what happened the last time around was an anomaly. Good news is that players are coming back and we're almost back to full strength again so going with a win for us.

Most of the team picks itself. I think the only question mark is in midfield, which isn't a bad thing. Fabinho and Wijnaldum are certain starters for me. The other spot is between Henderson and Keita. You can see the case for either of them depending on your thinking.

In this game I'd be tempted to start with Henderson. More aggression in the middle of the pitch, and he's not gonna end up in the box doing nothing like Keita does at times, we'll need bodies hanging back in case of a Man U counter. Plus Henderson will be a better battle against Pogba.

Yeah I think Klopp goes with that too. Keita is improving over the last few weeks but I think he can be bullied a little bit at times in tough games

Bloody glad Mike Dean is not the ref. for tomorrows game after the shit show, he performed today at the Burnley v Spurs match just finished what I have read, Dean loves United and Liverpool and loves issuing out yellow and red cards whenever reffing against the two teams.

United to me are quite a similar side to Bayern. They rely heavily on a couple of extremely good dribblers up front and a single clear playmaker in midfield to create chances. A big difference is that United don't have as much ability to hold onto possession as Bayern, which makes it harder for them to kill the game like Bayern did.

Think Liverpool will dominate more than they did against Bayern and it will be more back-and-forth, but like the Bayern match it will largely be a question of United either getting Pogba in a game-changing position or Liverpool making a mistake and letting Rashford/Martial in.

Mike Dean doesn't get Liverpool games, or has done very few, as he's from Merseyside (supports Tranmere). Bizarrely, Anthony Taylor regularly refs Man United and City games

You guys are in a great position for this. Almost a free hit imo.

We're almost expected to win and doomed if we don't. You'd only get the same treatment if we won by a lot.

Is it me or have Liverpool not looked great attacking the last few months? Something seems to be missing, like the front 3 isn't in sync.

I'm still not sure we've found the form we saw towards the end of the previous season yet. We've been more consistent at the back which has made up for it. But the goals don't feel to have flowed as freely and the attack has not been as awe inspiring.

Maybe its the balance you now have? One thing you have done well is dig in and hang onto a 1-0 win. People underestimate how important this is when it comes to winning titles.

For sure. The big difference this year. If your seen to be impregnable by your opponents and you score first that's basically game over so (or at least that's what you want them to think).

Milner against Rashford is not something I'm looking forward to. The rest is as it should be.

Yeah I suppose. I think he's probably gone with Milner because of what happened to Trent up against Rashford last year
