Curious as to what your thoughts were as we wrap up the first edition of the Nations League.

Could it potentially compete with the valor that Euro has? Or is this just 'another' cup that teams kind of care about?

I like it because it gives some competition to international weekends as opposed to random friendlies.

Don't like it because it's just another way to qualify for an ever-expanding Euros - although that's more to do with a problem with qualification than this competition itself.

I didn't watch a lot of it, TBH.

I enjoy International Tournaments, but I'm just not sure who serious the fans/teams/players take this?

Just another tournament to add money to the coffers of the mighty above, knacker players and a lot of injuries to boot, a meh for me, at least Southgate has got his team to win 2 penalty shootouts zzzzzzzzzzzzz :coffee:

Biggest adjustment for me is that the finals should've been played in the March break.

It's good but needs tweaks...

It's a lot better than just friendles and nobody can deny that. The only issue is what does it actually mean because we already have the European Championships. There's no essence to it.

I would say the finals should be played in November when the international season ends and the four finalists should qualify for the following tournament in the summer.

Pretty much just a friendly tournament, but adds more intensity to the games than usual friendlies. Nothing to really take seriously, but still something more interesting than usual friendlies.

It's probably best for teams at the top, giving them a tougher test, and teams at the bottom, actually playing games against similar nations. But for the middle of the pack teams, it's just a bit naff.

Nevermind the fact that one of the worst teams in Europe is guaranteed to make Euro 2020...

The alternative is to go back to having four pointless friendlies a year again so for that reason alone I'm a big advocate of it.
