Late Saturday night my partners waters broke. She blames me creating a party atmosphere after Odsonne Edouard's debut. Anyway the waters broke but my partner never went in to labour. They gave her Oxytocin Monday afternoon which led to abnormally painful contractions. She was in the very small number of people that Epidurals have zero effect on. After 13 hours of being witness to what I can only describe as a live exorcism she had just dilated 3 centimetres as the baby wouldn't put his head in the engaged position and he was now very distressed. The doctors called for an emergency C-Section and thankfully that's where our luck changed. The spinal worked on my partner and Noah entered the world at 0718 weighing 6.7lbs. Him and mother have been doing very well and they're hopeful they'll be released tomorrow.13 points

Good news, my uncle left the hospital after 24 days. On a negative note though, two of my sisters co-workers tested positive, my sister and another doctor are the only ones in their sector who still are able to work. It feels like it´s only a matter of time before she´s infected. Brazil is on its way to overtake the US and become the epicenter of the disease in the coming weeks. It shouldn´t have come to this but unfortunately we have a sociopath as president.12 points

It’s not a picture of me, but of my son... I swore I would never do it on here. But My wife who is with my son visiting her parents in Naples took this picture of my boy (Gennaro) today and I thought it was so telling and descriptive in the manner I love... That I would share it with you guys.11 points

International Mental Health Day today. I wasn’t aware there was a “day” for it but social media is telling me there is. I find it a bit silly that there’s a specified day for it because everyday should be Mental Health Day but I’m digressing from the real reason why I’m posting. We all spend far too much of our lives on here discussing Football with relative strangers. Most of us haven’t met, will probably never meet but have ‘relationships’ with other lads behind a screen, phone or tablet and really we don’t know the first thing about each other. I reckon I’m not alone in saying that my private messages are open should anyone ever decide they want to get something off their chest to a complete stranger. Talking does help and any message sent would be in the strictest confidence. A bit of a soppy post but most of us here are blokes between the ages of 18-40 and suicide is the biggest cause of death for our age group and as blokes, we’re usually terrible at talking about feelings and stuff like that. Speak up lads. Chat to someone. Offload it all on someone. It might save your life. Stay safe lads.11 points

How's it going? Only good vibes and memes in here. No relationship talk, no kids talk.10 points

Yesterday, they rescued two persons that spent over 11 days under the rubble; it's nothing short of a miracle to me, as like you said, the more time passes, the more unlikely it becomes. Heart melting video.10 points

And in case that doesn't work out, there's always other planets for potential relationships. I'd recommend Neptunian ones, personally.10 points

I've been on paternity leave for the last 3 weeks... A lot of modern workplaces now are encouraging men to do this and my work offer up to 14 weeks paid leave inside the first year of the birth. So for the last 3 weeks I've woken up to this beautiful little face beaming up at me, and am planning my days around making sure she's getting cool experiences and challenges and mingling with other babies. It's been great tbh. I thought I might've been totally rubbish at being the lead parent but I think I've fared pretty well so far.10 points

Congrats @Harry on the second. I'm still on the first, but we have briefly discussed #2. Here are some recent photos of my little one, the wife, and myself.10 points

I have no sympathy for any player that joined them this summer. Raphinia, Christianson and Kounde all had good contracts lined up for them at Chelsea but they chose to put on there birdbox cloth over there eyes and chase the Barcelona fantasy that died when Neymar left. The same with Lewandowski who 'fancied a new challenge'. All you have to do is look at how legends of the club have been treated, the mental transfer spending, the way they're forcing out players with smear campaigns and the Frenkie De Jong story to know something is seriously wrong. It needs one of the Governing Bodies to impose some form of transfer ban to save the club from itself. This gambling of a Super League that only three clubs seem willing to participate in at present is crazy and something UEFA shouldn't be best pleased about. If the stories about Martin Braithwaite holding out for his full pay are true then he should be hailed as a hero. He was signed in completely unreasonable circumstances and the smear campaign pointing out his wealth through his property investments is completely unreasonable. If they release him because he won't take a pay cut without paying his wages he's going to get a lot more than the club owe him now at court.9 points
