Its irony that it is the player that should have been red carded that scores,  the Ref did have a mare to with the penalty that was not given either.  Can't be to down pressed given we came to Stamford Bridge and given Chelsea a run with a starting line up short:

Joelinton, Shelvey, Willock, ASM (sub) and Fraser (sub) along with the absence of Trippier and Wilson.   I think we saved players form 3 games in 7 days for a more likely chance to win at Everton next week.

What a goal. He had the touch of a donkey the entire game so to see him control and finish with that composure sums Kai Havertz up. Can look like he's never played football before and then moments later has the touch of Maradona.

Awful game of football. . Who is this official anyway? Screams inexperienced and arguably should've gave Newcastle a penalty to top off a horrendous officiating display. Couldn't give an arse though as Newcastle got what they wanted, which was a scrappy dog fight.

David Coote.

Not the worst.

Hard on Newcastle to lose so close to the end of that match but that touch by Havertz was sublime and the quick flick to push it past the goalkeeper.

I think we were rather fortunate today, we could have had Havertz sent off for dangerous play and Chalobah could have conceded a penalty.

Having said that the goal was majestic.

Newcastle generally played well and limited our attacks, we were somewhat happened by several injuries to our wide backs and TT picking a side with midweek in mind.

Mount's set pieces were poor,

Kova coming on made the difference as maybe did Lukaku by being a decoy.

Shearer fuming.

Love it.

In honesty is the result surprising?  A team in the top 3 and comfortable playing a team while on the up is still in the bottom half.    When the team sheets came out,  there was no way a team like that should have held chelsea to 89 minutes.

We had Sarr and Chalobah playing as our fullbacks whilst you had a back 10. You lot had 3 CB's on Havertz all game and we had zero with to offer. This was never going to be easy.

Seeing Shearer fuming however, is the cherry on top. Same bloke saying we deserve to get folded for being affiliated to Roman, whilst at the same time praising Newcastle's new owners. Come on mate. 😂

We were forced into playing 5-2-3 because of the missing players and rested players,   3 midfielders out and Maxi and Fraser resting or easing back in.   That said we had some moments of causing trouble.

You did. You did the best you could to frustrate us and I'd say you succeeded bar a moment of brilliance from Havertz.

You were also on a 9 game win streak so again, I disagree to the notion this should of been an easy game for us.

On paper no but despite us starting well you weathered the storm and then started punching back and made it difficult for us which says a lot for the positive fighting spirit you have on this good run of yours...

Just seen that first touch from Kai Havertz, Bergkamp-esc that.. unbelievable. Hard on Newcastle but if you’re going to lose a game, lose to a goal like that.

Newcastle United FC’s Isaac Hayden has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3.1 following their Premier League game against Chelsea on Sunday 13 March 2022. It is alleged that the midfielder’s comments on social media after the game constitute improper conduct as they attack the integrity of the match official and/or are personally offensive and/or bring the game into disrepute. Isaac Hayden has until Wednesday 23 March 2022 to provide a response.

For this tweet...

What a bunch of cunts... I think if any player can prove that his statement was a statement of fact and can back that up with video evidence ( VAR ) then it's them fuckers that are bringing the game into disrepute and there should be no charges...

If I were him I'd just claim it was a typo

Honestly just think all players and managers should just keep questioning the integrity of the officials every time they bring it upon themselves. Perhaps it would provide an incentive for them to sort out their shit.

If you're defensive enough to take something like that tweet so seriously then all it does is betray how insecure you are about your refereeing standards. If they didn't provoke so much controversy every weekend and get so many basic decisions wrong with the benefit of replays from multiple angles, then they'd be able to laugh off stuff like this tweet because everyone would see that it's a ridiculous comment.

It's their own fault that people have reason to look at this tweet from Hayden and actually think he might have a point instead of just laughing at him for being a sore and bitter loser.

I mean it's pretty obvious at this point that their constant deflection, refusal to take any criticism has only seen standards go one way. Like anybody with a brain could've pointed out would happen.
