You don’t get it at all. If you think this is an ‘agenda’ you are sorely mistaken. If you step back and wonder why United is the most famous club in the world and your answer is ‘cuz we are da best n da biggest’ you have no idea how media, marketing, or even the Premier League works on a fundamental level. Busby Babes and George Best have nothing to do with the globalisation of English football in the 90s, the strangulation of grassroots football, the commercialisation, the transition  of supporters into customers.  The Premier League was a tool to crush the smaller teams for the benefit of the wealthy clubs, there is nothing organic about how and what happened in the 90s, that was the death of football.

I don't think I'd ever speak like you suggested and I didn't ever say or write ‘cuz we are da best n da biggest’

I'm aware we benefited from a period and success during a period football elevated beyond the game for the working man to the global monster it is today.

The punishment will be dependent on the scale of the offence which at this stage we don't really know.

All I've found is they paid Mancini or Pellegrini under the table.

I have no facts to back this up, just a word of mouth thing but pep’s restaurant in Manchester I was told was a “sweetener”.
Tbh I wouldn’t be surprised at all with city.

What's amusing me at the moment is that if the Premier League kick City out of the league, the EFL are under no obligation to accept them into any of their leagues.

What's amusing me is people think our legal team wont make this go away :4_joy:

This is only the case on tell EFL realise how much money Man City will then pay them.

So you're basically saying there is a chance you know you've broken the rules but it doesn't matter as your legal team will squash it and make it go away anyway.

I'd imagine that would go down really well with the likes of Liverpool who've had a generationally good side for the last five years and only managed one league title for their troubles.

If it's evident you've cheated and yet it's overturned again by your legal teams I think you might end up with other clubs pulling together against you. I really do think that could be the case.

There are already strong rumours circulating Pep is going to walk away as he's had enough of having his named connected with it.

I'm really torn. It would be funny to see Man City relegated but at the same time I don't want Liverpool fans gloating about winning the Premier League for four consecutive seasons.

Imagine how rich you’d all be if you started charging rent for letting us live in your heads.
