I have it, but I don't enjoy it.

Chances are I'll just stop using forums. This server issue was something I thought we had fixed, there are other forums out there that don't have the activity we do, and with us donating money towards the server, it just feels cheap at this point.

Sad way to end what was once a great community.

I won't desert Discord or even here with server issues, I am a member of a couple of forums that have been going for years but I found TF365, liked what I saw and I am and will be staying but I will post more in here than Discord.

Dont you dare desert here, pretend you are playing a game of chess with Bobby Fischer and you fight until the bitter end, no matter what. >:( xD

I won't lie... It was a lot harder to keep on top of what was going on and where it was happening as you had to roam the place to find out what was being discussed or what the hot topic of conversation was so prefer this style as it all pops up as it happens.. Having said that I thought there was a lot of potential for things we simply can't do on this forum like the live matchday events for example which I enjoyed and there are a probably a whole host of other decent things we hadn't even looked into yet... I will keep both so we can explore other events that might come up in the future that are better run on there..

Didn't hate it but would take me a while to get used to it...

Yeah, I like Discord. I think it's a really interesting platform that has a lot of benefits, especially for a community like ours. It's been interesting getting to interact with people I've been talking to on here for years (some of you for such an incredibly long time too), but real time and imo in a more personal level because it's different chatting with someone than it is writing out a forum post to them.

I also thought it was brilliant for mafia games. I think that last mafia game was the best we've had, and we've had some really enjoyable ones, and a big part of that was simply that one day with the chaotic ending where the vote went down to the wire. That was incredible.

As a long term Discord user I think both forums and discord have their pros and cons. Discord I think has the benefit of real-time conversations vs a static post management system like traditional forums. With forums, however, you do have the ability to peruse content a lot easier because it's not like someone left the kitchen sink tap on and you're watching it all fly past you.

That would probably have diminished over time because it just takes a matter of getting used to. But it's nice to see this place back again.

I still prefer Discord over forums because I find that they are far better for community interaction.

I must admit, coming in here, seeing the notification bell above light up then you know you have a message, click it and go straight into the message, plus you know where everything is in here.

There was the notification button on Discord that did the same thing and took you to wherever your notifications were on discord?

I don't know why I'm using past tense by the way, it still does that.

I know that but I was so used to in here plus the notification will also show if you are writing a post like this in the box and you can click that and go straight into the post.

Discord can be a bugger for finding things but as others said it just takes time gatting used to, plus I missed this place anyway, maybe we will hear from @Cicero and @Devil-Dick Willie again who were not in Discord plus @Berserker and other long time members who vanish for months then come back.

@Rab

Any reason why Google Chrome Grammarly is not working in here again, that was quite handy for me, it would normally show up in the bottom right hand corner as active, and I noticed I can't get pictures from this laptop via the choose files at the bottom, if I try adding a file it will say 'Allowed file extensions are:jpg, gif' but I can insert them via 'save image as...' via the actual image,

I think both can run side by side myself, I have to admit just logging back on and flicking about seems so much more of a slog than the simple click and check function of Discord.

I will give my opinion in a few days but early signs are Discord has grown on me.

Won't comment on that, I got snuffed out before I even farted. O.o

I like Discord. I guess this poll was influenced by my usual present "I don't like new things-attitude". And I also think that the people who gave it a try for like 5 minutes and said no straight away never really were ready to give it a fair chance. We've had some good and memorable moments on there in a short amount of time. As mentioned above, the Mafia Wars was BY FAR the best we've had.

The forum is better for getting on a soap box and Discord is better for socialising.
