Just about deserved the win and more late drama. Always feels good when you're on the right side of it but a comfortable win would be nice.

And Havertz... I want it to magically just click but it's obviously gonna take time if it ever does work hence, start him on the bench and bring him on. Takes him out of the spotlight and allows him to improve with less pressure on him.

Looked like a  pick in basketball.  Gabriel ran towards Evans and stopped him from getting to Rice.  Probably happens all the time.

Evans grappled with Gabriel just as much.

Nothing in it at all.

How has Sancho turned out so badly and how do Man Utd keep managing to spend so much money on players who are either sub-standard or seemingly lose their motivation when they go there?

The culture of the club must be really rotten. Perhaps players coming in on huge contracts before they've proved that they can deliver at the level Man Utd should expect.

I don't know all the ins and outs but surely it's absolutely mad they've needed to bring Jonny Evans back in and they've still got the likes of Martial knocking about getting starts in big games like this.

Ten Hag is probably a decent manager but no one man can untangle the mess of a football club that rotten. Just another football club hollowed out and ruined by incompetent foreign ownership but with so much money that they'll never dip below a certain level.

There were signs of this at Dortmund apparently. Surely we should have known and not bought him.

What a dull game that was. I’m sure Sky will big it up but there weren’t really any great performances out there.

From Arsenal’s side I thought they were slow, lethargic and lacked aggression. No idea why they allowed United to play out from the back so freely without even trying to catch them on the counter, they were just happy to win it deep and not really commit. Saka was poor today, Martinelli a bright spark in a dull team, Odegaard largely non-existent in dangerous areas even with the goal, the midfield duo of Zinchenko and Rice really lacked incisive passing and playmaking as you need your DM to be heavily involved in that as well as doing their defensive duties. Havertz I thought had a decent game, he should have put that early chance away but defensively he was very solid and fitted into Arsenal’s defensive structure in transition and deep quite well, he nearly won a pen as well. Defence was decent, but Ben White defended the goal pretty badly. Maybe you blame the centre back too for no communication, but if one player is covering the outside then White needs to cover the inside as he’s closest. Gave Rashford that on a plate.

Thought United’s play looked pretty basic, never really any consistent use of passing combinations, just long balls to the wings or balls in behind on the counter. Rashford’s goal was really well taken but he didn’t do much outside of that. Antony is really questionable for his price tag, but his off the ball work was good. Don’t think United’s midfield were bad but they weren’t great either, but Eriksen did have a great moment with that assist. Dalot deserves praise for shutting Saka out, Wan Bissaka had a tough job against Martinelli but was rarely left flat footed.

Ultimately this game had a draw written all over it but small margins was the difference. If Garnacho is half a second slower on the run then hes won United the game. Then Arsenal get a corner and Rice’s goal takes a massive deflection to beat Onana. United then have to push aggressively and Arsenal punish them. I think both teams need to play better as clubs like Spurs, Brighton, City and Liverpool will be licking their lips over these performances.

Publicly throwing your player under the bus always creates the potential of the player publicly saying something in response. Not a fan of Ten Hag as he regularly seems to make cringe worthy dramatic statements so he deserves the drama.

Seems a typically OTT drama over a Man United player. Why the manager can't just phrase it different. If he is going to comment, just say that he personally rates Rashford, Garnacho & Anthony as ahead of Sancho. That is the choice he is paid to make. And should be open to Sancho earning his chance. There should not be any drama. Man United are nearly always like this. Conte was like it. Pep even gets like it.

Ten Hag has just said that Sancho was dropped from the squad today because of his “training performances”, sweet fucking Jesus don’t you just hate this current group of players?!

The useless fucker is on 350k per week and can’t even be arsed to work for 2 hours per day, and all this after they gave him 3 months away from the game to get his head straight last season, what an absolute fucking cunt he is. Another great deal by the Chuckle Brothers.

I don't buy it. We had 'big club' Steven Gerrard at Villa. He did not rate our wingers 1 bit. El Ghazi, Trezeguet & Traore. 1st was a penalty taker. 2nd hit a sweet volley to help us survive 1st season back. 3rd had been playing 'Champions League' He wanted all 3 gone. To get Villa moving upwards, maybe he had a point. But Traore survived & sat half of Hibs defence on their bums the other week. Because that's the level of opponent that makes him look really good. I know it's not laziness that keeps Traore from winning matches vs Liverpool. It's the fact he's nowhere near the level of Diaz & Jota, let alone Salah. And Sancho increasingly seems a good distance off too.

I just have to accept some level of peace with that, and hope Diaby stays around when enough realise he could just be 'good enough for a big club' and we can add more such players around him.

And if Hojlund somehow does not work out to be anything more than a Haaland stunt double, that will not be him being useless & lazy either. You might well hear that & buy into that. But for me it will make it look silly to have spent that money on him rather than get Ferguson from Brighton.. or Kane.

Ten Hag's comments bringing out this type of opinion on Sancho is why Sancho felt he had to voice his side of the story.

Giving non-answers like most managers is the sensible thing to do unless you're intentionally trying to embarrass the player. Some managers will do that when trying to force a player out. Something which Pep, Mourinho, Arteta, etc. have done.
