What do you have to keep you going?

That is... coffee or tea? Or do you have something else?

I'm not a coffee drinker apart from the very odd occasion. I do drink green tea not every day but most days, about 75% of the time. Only one a day normally.

I got into green tea after hearing about the health benefits, it gives me a little boost as well. Normally have one in the afternoon or when I need to get something done.

Black Coffee to get me motivated to do things. Love how caffeine effects the brain.

I find green/black tea helps me focus, particularly when I was studying at Uni.

Always enjoy tea right after a kick about or game. Helps me relax.

Black coffee. One when I wake up. One when I get to work. And I'm still tired.

I have green tea daily too but usually in the evening. My green tea must be the imported stuff from that country I used to live in.

Coffee in the morning to get them eyes open before work then tea through most of the day then coffee when I get back home in the evening... Can't help thinking its the coffee in the evening that's giving me sleepless nights though..

Most likely is mate, strangely enough I was having this very conversation the other day with some mates, both avid coffee drinkers. One was saying that she drinks coffee in the evening but it makes her wake up during the night and she’s looking to cut down. The other was saying that he has all his coffee in the morning / afternoon as drinking it in the evening negatively affects his sleep.

Another random point for this thread, I can’t stand energy drinks, do not understand how people drink them on a regular basis.

I did go through a phase of cutting back a bit and not drinking any after about 8 in the evening but each night is different and when I am off work its different again because I don't have to think about trying to get a decent nights kip and being fresh in the morning so unless I actually tracked my sleeping patters with and without coffee it would be hard to tell if it had any positive benefits..

viagra.

I have a mate back home who took a Viagra for some reason before meeting up with me and a few other friends night of beers and lines... and he said his heart felt like it was about to explode. Also ended up going to the doctor for his erection xD

But when I need energy, I need coffee and lots of it in the mornings.

I absolutely love black coffee. Just simple strong black coffee, no sugar. Used to have about 3-4 cups a day, or 5-6 when I was working at the office. Well sadly, my body doesn't want to tolerate it anymore :( So now I canonly drink like half a cup of coffee with milk every once in a while. Don't like tea much, can't stand sugary drinks, so now I only drink water during the day.

I have an espresso or two when I get up and maybe an aeropress (sort of halfway between espresso and normal filter coffee) at work if I have to be there in the morning.

I spend the extra money to get good fresh beans, but with my sleeping pattern being what it is, I'm sometimes struggling by 3 or 4 in the afternoon at work, at which point I'll just whack out the instant to keep me going.

RedBull + Vodka/Champagne is one of the best drinks out there.

never drink coffee before bed as it does affect sleep. It's a stimulant (I think) and always feel more awake after.

Same with cheese - can never have that within a couple of hours before bed as I never get a proper night's sleep if I do.

What do you think of vodka and coke (coca cola) mate? I always wondered why they looked at me strange when I ordered this in Spain until a Spanish friend told me that's it's not common at all in Spain and it's a strange mix. Probably the most common mix in England.

Red bull mixers are not for me at all but I'd like to try the champagne one.

I like it. Vodka's so good as a mixer, be it coke, orange, energy drinks, everything!  Here Fernet + coke is one of the most common drinks, specially in Cordoba (second biggest city) where everybody drinks it and it's almost mandatory, kinda like Vodka in Russia or Sake in Japan. Try it (the red bull one) i'm sure you'll like it.

Red win and coke is popular in Spain isn't it?

I drink regular coffee to give me a kick, probably drink more now than I ever have which is around 3 a day. Green tea is alright, the more you drink it the better the taste is and it's supposedly very good for you.

If I need a kick on a night out vodka redbull or at uni them blue VKs used to keep me up all night..
