Koeman has done a good job of reminding everyone it's not his team and the squad needs a lot of investment which people have accepted and therefore sort of given him a pass in his first year or so with us. Yesterday was different as Baines was the only player starting the game not signed by Koeman and it also happened to be our worst performance of the season.

In the opening league and Europa games, we didn't look good apart from the first half at home to Split, but we got results so people were like "okay, we're looking a bit average but we're getting results and it'll only get better when the players gel". Yesterday was completely shite though and the worst part was that Spurs are a better side than us but they didn't have to play at their top level to brush us aside because we were nowhere near as good as we should be ourselves.

So it's the first real time questions have to be asked of Koeman. I think it's healthy for him to be put under a bit of pressure and if he wants to develop as a manager he'll accept that pressure and try to answer the questions about his selections, tactics and ability to motivate his squad, rather than doing what he's done to date which is deflect the pressure onto the board or onto underperforming players (e.g. Barkley).

There were seven new players starting the game yesterday, in the 4th league game of the season, against the runners up last season.

Any one questioning his future this soon needs to have a think about it.

Ronald Koeman called a crisis meeting with the experienced players today, hopefully something good comes of it.

Probably needs one with his wife as well if all this stuff about him throwing himself about is true.

Jokes aside, the lads been through the ringer since Koeman took over and he still turns up to watch the team at United, still scoring goals for the under 23s, seems to continue acting a model professional.

I don't care how bad he was under Martinez, we've not scored in four matches and he got a few for Hull last season. Wednesday against Sunderland is a perfect time to give him a game and see what he's got to offer again.

That was never as comfortable as 4-0, as soon as Everton conceded the 2nd they went into a meltdown. Gifted the next two goals, not sure what Koeman is planning but one win one draw and 2:10 gd in the relegation spots not looking good. Plus to add the heavy defeat to Atalanta.

Since posting this one week ago, Niasse has scored 3 goals from 3 shots in 59 minutes on the pitch. Someone made a funny but true tweet today, about how Niasse could never score for Everton again but probably go out in Liverpool 20 years from now and get bought a drink by any Evertonian while our record premier league scorer Lukaku would "probably get chinned".

Koeman has already managed Ajax, a club far bigger than Everton, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Means nothing though, Ajax competitively are a small club nowadays.

TheSun who are well known for their accuracy  say Rafa turned down an approach from Everton earlier this week

They're right that he would turn us down, just didn't mention that we wouldn't ever entertain the idea of appointing him. Or that this never happened.

I'd actually would really like to see Enrique at Everton. His revamp at Barca was great, and I'd like to see how he'd get on in another environment.
