One of my neighbours walks past the house at least 4 times a day. I’ve put a sign in the window reading ‘if you’re reading this for the 4th time, you’re doing it wrong’.5 points

Just woke up from a good 8 hours of sleep and it feels a lot better. Still hurts a bit, but nothing like yesterday. Hopefully it doesn't get worse as the day goes on.4 points

Aquarium coronavirus lockdown gives dolphins the chance to meet a sloth The Texas State Aquarium is currently closed to the public due to social distancing requirements, but that hasn't stopped the animals inside from hanging out with new friends. Texas State Aquarium staff have apparently been giving some animals a chance to explore parts of the aquarium and meet other creatures in different habitats. When a celebrity sloth named Chico got to meet some new dolphin buddies, the dolphins appeared to love the playdate. The 3-year-old sloth took a break from his usual enclosure when the staff took him on a tour around the Gulf of Mexico exhibit, which included meeting ducks, seahorses and jellyfish. Because roaming around on his own would have been difficult, staff carried him around hanging by a large branch. The highlight of the trip seemed to be when the dolphins met Chico. "Liko and Schooner were very curious, and Liko was even inspired to attempt an upside-down sloth impression," the aquarium posted on Facebook. The aquarium frequently gives its animals a chance to "meet" each other as a form of enrichment "which helps keep them active in body and mind," a Texas State Aquarium spokesperson told the Bored Panda blog on Thursday. "As some of our most popular animals, it seemed an obvious choice for our sloths and dolphins to get a chance to see each other while we were temporarily closed." Sloths and dolphins aren't the only animals having fun during aquarium lockdowns. In March, a group of curious penguins roamed Chicago's Shedd Aquarium to visit other animals and tour the exhibits. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/offbeat/aquarium-coronavirus-lockdown-gives-dolphins-chance-to-meet-a-sloth/ar-BB12c1PE#image=12 points

Yeah, I remember Nemesis dropping things of you put him on his ass. I don't think it's the same in this version. I can dodge but trying to keep running and looking at Nemesis behind you is a pain in the ass.1 point

"Three sociologists at Princeton University asked hundreds of researchers to predict six life outcomes for children, parents, and households using nearly 13,000 data points on over 4,000 families." If they think that's enough data they are sadly mistaken. Also, Rehoboam would have looked at the problem and said "thats okay i'll just change society to suit my needs" haha.1 point

Glad you're both improved and/or better @...Dan & @Harvsky I did that yesterday. Had some shopping I collected and dropped some off to my brother's house. Parked up and stood by the car while they stood at the door. It's weird but the best thing to do in the circumstances. Keep the distance now and we won't have to do so later down the line. Meanwhile had the first case of someone related die from the virus. A distant relative mind but a sad death nonetheless.1 point

Depends on the risk she wants to take How does she know Evalyne doesn't have symptoms or coronavirus, if they're even visible? Does she want to risk getting the virus herself? And vice versa... There's a reason why social distancing is in place regardless of circumstance.1 point

Don´t believe it. Bolsonaro is still in command, but there´s a growing power struggle behind the courtains. Healthy Minister Henrique Mandetta is more and more popular by the day with his scientific approach and this week he decided even to contradict the President regarding the need for social isolation. Bolsonaro, feeling threatened by the popularity of Mandetta, started to a campaign against his own minister via his most hardcore followers. Well-informed journalists are reporting that Bolsonaro is looking for ways to sack Health Minister Mandetta and replace him with Osmar Terra, a guy who denies the dangers of the pandemy. But so far he hasn´t dared to do that fearing the popular response.1 point

That´s true. Apparently, things are better in Quito, the capital, but in Guayaquil, the most populous city in Ecuador the health system and public order have collapsed. Apparently, this outbreak was caused by equatorians who work in Spain and returned to Ecuador. There are almost 500 000 equatorians living in Spain, the largest latin american community in Spain. Consdering Spain is one of the countries most badly hit by the virus, there´s certainly a connection. Another factor is the fact that equatorian government didn´t take the threat seriously and passengers returning from Spain didn´t need to go under a quarantine after arriving in the country.1 point

I can't say if I have had it or not but I did go through the sore throat, headaches, breathing, sweating and my body aching a bit for a few days but I just dug in taking my tablets as per normal, using my asthma & COPD pumps, mentally bucking myself up and using some cough mixture we have for my sore throat but I feel 10 times better now and feel like I did before it hit me. The wife and daughter were worried about me as they knew I had landed in the hospital with a collapsed left lung and had to have an operation to put it right, I was scared to give a little cough as the wife would suddenly start staring at me asking if I was ok, but I am fine now lung wise, I only get a dull pain on my left-hand side when I take my daily heart & water tablets which then disappears after a couple of minutes. I can't sleep at the moment as I have more or less been snoozing on the sofa off and on all day due to isolating myself so I will stay awake for now and do some reading until my tablets are due around 04.30/05.00, take them and head off to bed.1 point

Yeah, nailing the dodge is tough overall. The quick step helps you get out of trouble rather than running. Idiot here of course just went straight for hardcore though I don't like having no ink ribbons and saving whenever you fancy.1 point

The horrible thing to us is as I have mentioned is the lady across the corridor of our block of flats we have known the couple since we moved in here 14 years ago has just found out she has cancer and has not long to go, the wife broke down in tears when her hubby told her and Liz want's to give her a kiss and a cuddle but she can't do that just yet until the isolation period is over with. The wife has not been outside now for 3 weeks but I told her that I don't think a kiss and a cuddle with old Evalyne would hurt at the moment but the wife is worried in case she makes it worse for Evalyne if she did that, I just hope Evalyne can hang in there for a few months yet because as the way things stand we won't even be able to go to her funeral if she passes away in the next few weeks.0 points

I feel like I'm recovering from it now. My breathing is getting better, but the lung pain has gotten worse. I have a horrible back pain right now, in line with my left lung, I can barely move without it hurting. I looked up the symptoms of lung inflammation and it seems like that's what I have. As I mentioned in the are you worried thread, one of my lungs is smaller than the other because of a condition I had when i was born. Hopefully it'll get better after a few more days of rest, otherwise I'm gonna have to go and get checked up. I'm not even sure where I would go for that and if they'd even agree to see me? Also @Harvsky did you have lung pain after your breathing got better?0 points
