Waylander Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 How is the midfield workign out with Eriksen, he seems to be paired with McTomminay who has a decent engine yet are you being overrun? Quote
Chickasaw Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 Tomorrow I haven't a clue what the result's going to be. I'm trying to imagine the printed result but just cannot. Utd on a roll and Arsenal unbeaten. Firstly Arsenal seem to be fading a little and we all know that this run won't last forever. Utd didn't play well last night but still won. Are we going to have a free flowing and speedy game of football yielding goals or the opposite?. I just don't know. Quote
Chickasaw Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Well done Utd. I posted on another site I thought a home win and, as I posted on this one that Arsenal were fading. 4 on the trot since The Brentford result. Told you that you had nothing about which to worry. Couldn't understand why some people said Rashford was finished, shook my head when I read that. Quote
OrangeKhrush Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 so mcguire was the problem all along Quote

Actually you could name a large number of players which have thankfully gone. It's still early days but it's clear there is a positive change in the way we are playing, there is a genuine hunger in some of these lads. Quote
Spike Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 (edited) Just gonna say that Gary Neville is full of fucking shite slagging off the ‘Americanisation’ of football when he is one of the greatest benefactors of the commercialisation of English football. The Premier League, Sky Sports, and Man United whoring the selves out to every global customer is something he has been a part of and grown wealthy from since his first match. I feel bad for the United fans that remember before this being the case, watching their club be the flagship of soulless corporate football that has emerged since 1992. I can’t even imagine what to feels like for something that is meant to be a sense of community becoming a product to be sold. Edited September 14, 2022 by Spike 1 Quote
ScoRoss Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 £15 million to sack an interim manager?! Quote

A small part of why they made a net loss of £115.5m last season even though revenues rose 18% to £583.2m. Club debt went up about £95m as well. Don't know what it's like now but they had the highest wages in history last season. Quote

He wasn't just an interim manager he was actually set to take on an important consultancy role within the club. They had to pay him off though, he was far too outspoken about the issues within the club so they must have paid him up and got him to sign something stopping him talking. He hasn't said a word since which is totally bizarre. Quote

Bubble has to burst at some point with United, whilst we generate a lot of income there has to be a ceiling we can hit. I'd say we can't be far off it surely. We're not state funded so it's not a bottomless pit. Quote
Bluewolf Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Manchester United Supporters' Trust say they will take legal action unless more away fans are allowed when the team plays at Chelsea later this month. Manchester United Supporters' Trust set to launch legal action over Chelsea away ticket allocation - BBC Sport They want Hammersmith and Fulham Council to issue a new safety certificate to allow the full allocation of 2,994 travelling supporters. United's allocation has been reduced to 2,370 because of policing concerns. MUST said "fans are being treated like second-class citizens". Redcanuck Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Ronaldo refusing to come on as a late sub and leaving the stadium could very well end his time at United. The club just announced he's not involved in preparations for the Chelsea game this weekend. Quote

By acting like he's bigger than the team he's not really helping anybody - Ten Hag would be doing the right thing freezing him out tbh. Basically acting the exact opposite of what you'd expect from your old and experienced superstar in terms of setting an example for the rest of the squad. 1 Quote

No player is bigger than the club and Ronaldo is no different. 2 Quote

Get rid of him, end of the story, he has had his glory days and as others have said, no player is bigger than the club, now Pogba and Lingard have gone and square head Maguire is no more captain plus not guaranteed a starting place in the side we are doing well. ET Hag is showing himself as not being another Ole by not letting players walk all over him, he is doing things his way although I would love him to start playing some youth players regularly. Quote

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted October 21, 2022 Subscriber Posted October 21, 2022 I would like him to go to America and play for the likes of Rooney at DC United and showboat over there with them. Quote
OrangeKhrush Posted October 22, 2022 Posted October 22, 2022 Ronaldo is a free agent 2024 with a AAV of 26.8m so mutual termination is a foregone conclusion. in order to terminate him man United will have to pay about 40m so there is zero chance. the only option is finding a club willing to take his contract but it will be a free transfer no money as Ronaldo is still owed over 40m no club will pay a transfer fee. the situation is messy but man United let it become messy by not letting him leave in the off season. this has now gone public which is again a pathetic attempt to try show who is boss and in the end Ronaldo knows they need to get rid of him to sign de jong, Gapko and frimpong, if man United need to pay him to go that 40+ counts against FFP. the only solution is a loan or hope someone takes his contract over. ScoRoss Posted October 22, 2022 Posted October 22, 2022 Hilarious to see Rio Ferdinand and Roy Keane squirming over Ronaldo being dropped. What's the point of having these awful pundits, when they aren't even impartial to what they are asked to analyse. 1 Quote

Ex Liverpool players are the worse. Quote
