Dave Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 It seems like Manchester United hacent given up. I really hope he ends up at Dortmund. I'd love to see the player they turn him in to by the time hes nineteen.

(Bild) Bellingham looks like another very smart signing by Dortmund. With Dortmund buying him for £22.5 million, he has become the most expensive teenager in Bundesliga history. However, the transfer fee that they are paying, is actually a discount fee, as Dortmund were able to negotiate the price down due to the financial implications that COVID-19 is having on Birmingham City. Dortmund appears to be the ideal place for the world's best youngsters to develop their skills and they will undoubtedly be delighted that they have beaten Manchester United to Bellingham's signature.

This from his leaving article on their club site 'The 22 shirt has become synonymous with Jude, his rise to the first team aged just 16 years and 38 days and these qualities. And as such the Club have decided it would be fitting to retire this number, to remember one of our own and to inspire others.'

Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted July 23, 2020 Subscriber Posted July 23, 2020 There's been players at other clubs who've been there for their entire careers or done amazing things and still not had their number retired. And then there's Jude Bellingham...

Chaaay AFC Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Honestly one of the most embarrassing things I've seen from a football club.
Danny Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Just for comparison West Ham retired the number 6 in honour of Bobby Moore, their greatest ever academy product, player and captain. It’s been debatable as to whether that was small time or not. Bobby Moore....Jude Bellingham
Subscriber Dan+ Posted July 23, 2020 Subscriber Posted July 23, 2020 That really is probably the most tinpot thing I've seen. This fad of tributes for everything needs to die a death but it's a reflection on society in general so I highly doubt it will.
