Apparently reading and understanding books makes you a snowflake.

I must have been a snowflake age 14, before they were even a thing, because that was the message I got from the book.

That's from the Sun though, the people who work there who aren't totally evil are just as thick as their average reader. Which is really fucking thick.

People who use the term snowflake probably read the Sun in fairness.

The new trend now is to find a few people in Twitter who disagree with something mainstream, call them millennial's and make an article about it. The use of the term snowflake is just a sign of stupidity, ignorance and an emotional response over critical thinking.

There's a woman who was upset over a sign that said obesity causes cancer and it doesn't matter if you agree with her or not, the majority of responses were along the lines of "you fat bitch" "stop eating then you fat shit" etc etc. That response is in the category of thought process that the use of term snowflake belongs to.

Exactly, the entire idea of the snowflake comes from media freak stories about extreme opinions held by minority groups in a few universities.

If anything the Sun is a far more mainstream institution than any actual snowflake groups. It just shows on which side the real over-sensitivity and stupidity lies.

I agree, the people who use the term most are more likely to be sensitive about having their worldview questioned or seeing things in society that they don't agree with - thus delicate, like an actual snowflake. A good example would be my gran, kind of sad what's happened to her in her old age... and it also irritates the shit out of me.

Speaking of The Sun, Twitter, the internet and snowflakes. I can't understand why there's been such a fuss made around fake news over the last two years to a point where it's being mentioned regularly on TV when publications like The Sun have been allowed to get away with it and be in existence for decades.

It's been like that for years on both sides of the spectrum. It's only since Trump has mentioned about fake news that the term gets banded around all the time.

A mate of mine is a Tory councillor and there was a smear article on Walesonline and the Western Mail about how he made 'sexist comments', with the only tiny bit of sexism being mentioned as 'including a reference to french porn'. Of course, the full quote was not provided for context so here's the quote that was spun to make a smear article:

'A man may fight for many things. His country, his principles, his friends. The glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn'.

Find where the quote came from and this was their 'source' to smear a councillor.

Liverpool fans getting Topman to take down this ugly Bob Marley inspired top because they thought it was making fun of Hillsborough is pretty ridiculous. And hilarious. xD

I'll be the first to admit our fans can be really embarrassing, but this is clearly insensitive at best. I don't think it's been done deliberately, but a red top styled to look like a football shirt with 96 on the back and "KARMA" written on the sleeve isn't a good look and there's potential for it to be worn by people looking to incense Liverpool fans, victims' families, etc.

As a side note, the number 96 on the back refers to 1996, the year the song was re-released, which is fucking stupid.

Yeah, I was confused, considering Bob Marley was already dead for over a decade, and they even misquoted the song title xD

THE Mr Men book series have been branded sexist by a new literary study which claims female characters are portrayed as less powerful.

It found the Little Miss characters have to be "saved" in the stories more than half the time, while the Mr Men only need saving less than a third of the time.

What next? Disney films are sexist where the Prince saves the Princess? Give me a break.

Why are so many people so fucking retarded?

Mr. Men has been around for fucking ages and is to entertain tiny kids. Why are we looking at it for it's serious social commentary on modern Life? Oh of course, because it's 2018 and everyone has been snorting bath salts whenever we are not in the room and that's why we live in this dystopic hellhole we call earth.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Really nothing to get irritated about at this point.

These 'people' who have to brand everything sexist are only a small majoirty.

What Feminism is now, should well and truly not be seen seriously.

Of course it's ridiculous, but it's also not even the least bit indicative of feminism in any way. This kind of sub news story is leapt on by the usual suspects to hold up as 'OMG LOOK FEMINAZIS', when it's a minor story not backed by anyone of any reputation.

You get more and more of this at the moment, as society tilts towards equality the hate grows stronger.

"Corbynites' Insults Will Only Hurt Themsleves"

The right wing media really can't decide if left wing youth are overly sensitive or overly harsh can they? It's almost as if middle aged right-wingers want to be free to hurl every slur at young people they want, but will run sob stories in the national papers they control when young people poke fun back at them.

The older generations have created the nastiness and the anger in our political atmosphere. They're the ones who call students snowflakes, remainers whingers, Judges saboteurs, Labour supporters Trotskyists and fairly mainstream social liberals cultural marxists, just to name a few.

All of that, and nobody runs newspaper pieces saying that the right wing needs to be kinder to young people because they need their votes. However, if some lefties on Twitter muster the gall to call a red-faced middle-aged Brexiter on Question Time a "Gammon", the entire discussion becomes about how the left-wing is supposedly alienating middle-aged people.

The entire concept of offence culture and snowflakism is meaningless except as way of one side - the one which holds the power, the money and the media in this county - to try and dominate, humiliate and silence the younger generations.

The same thing happens with right wingers being portrayed as fascists and racists. Or of jews being overly sensitive. Or a million other things.

Every side has its idiots and its easier to get publicity if you are one.

A sexuality expert says parents should ask their child’s permission before changing their nappies - so they can set up a “culture of consent.”

xDxD

I'm in stitches.

Similar to the banning Sleeping Beauty attempt.

This is hilarious.
