SirBalon Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Real Madrid and Spain international Sergio Ramos sent a couple of unwarranted words to Atlético Madrid and France international Antoine Griezmann. During a Champions League press conference this morning Sergio Ramos answered a question in reference to the Ballon d’Or nominees where he left these pearlers. “So you guys think he’s eating at the same table as Messi and Cristiano?” “They say in my country that ignorant people tend to be very stupidly brave” “When I hear speak of this kid I think of names like Totti, Buffon, Raúl, Iniesta or Xavi... Players that in some cases ran out of room to put titles on display and longterm internationally recognised names that never won the Ballon d’Or.” “Maybe he should listen more to people close to him like El Cholo, Godín or Koke.”
Bluewolf Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Now there is someone you wouldn't mind seeing getting a good crack in the jaw...
True Blue Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Ramos even tough a great defender is a complete bellend.
Administrator Stan Posted September 19, 2018 Administrator Posted September 19, 2018 Verbally attacks is a bit sensationalist He doesn't even say anything too out of the ordinary. Perhaps a bit savage but what he says isn't false.
SirBalon Posted September 19, 2018 Author Posted September 19, 2018 It actually turns out that the sentence "I am now eating from the same table as Messi and Cristiano" was said by Antoine Griezmann himself and when Ramos was asked what he thought of what Antoine had said, he then answered with that.

I though originally that it was the journalist that had asked if Griezmann was eating from the same table as both Messi and Cristiano. The reason I said this is because I didn't hear the journalist's question. But this was in reference to what Grizemann had said a day previously when asked what he thought about his chances for the Ballon d'Or. In truth that is arrogant from Griezmann and even though I really like him, in actually fact someone I don't like at all has answered him with balls and correctly it seems.
Danny Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Ramos is a winner pure and simple, will be a sad day when he retires.
Spike Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 He bizarrely praises and insults a lot of players in that comment.

6666 Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 He's not wrong though and I'd say he's being a dickhead but Griezmann is slightly delusional so I can't say I'm against it.

Yeah and as captain of the biggest football club in the world, I'll make a great example and role model by kicking the shite out of a youth player....twice.
Dave Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 I think a lot of people would have reacted far worse than Ramos. I get why he's a disliked character, but the criticism towards him there is pretty pathetic.
Cicero Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Just now, The Palace Fan said: I think a lot of people would have reacted far worse than Ramos. I get why he's a disliked character, but the criticism towards him there is pretty pathetic. Really? Enlighten me.
Danny Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 The kid obviously didn't mean to elbow him But they're elite footballers always training at 100%...I'm sure someone like Roy Keane would watch that and think Ramos was being soft
Machado Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 What is difficult about understanding the criticism here? Most people would go "it's ok" and forget about it, but Ramos has to act tough all the time because he's still an insecure little boy. It's a bit sad actually.
