I think they will be feeling the heat now with all the publicity surrounding this as the guy that took the video of the incident said "He told BBC Breakfast: "I had to make a difficult decision at that time because if I had stepped in I don't think you would have seen the footage that I captured." The guy that did the racial abuse will have his mug shot everywhere soon, it's been shown on tv etc so far.

Danny
You'd expect more people to stand up for her and also expect the flight attendants to get him removed... coward behaviour

If they all made a scene the flight would've surely been aborted and the authorities called to enter the plane.

That would've taken a while and the plane would've lost it's take-off slot plus the reports having to be made in a very meticulous manner because it's a foreign national. The plane losing its slot would mean a loss of money for the airline company and the serious risk of the flight itself being cancelled which would mean even more money for Ryanair with new tickets having to be issued and the loss of their paid slot for landing in the UK... I'm sure those higher up would've told the airplane staff to try and sort it in a manner the slot could be maintained and that then they'd report him to UK authorities at the airport they landed in. Then you have the selfishness of the paying customers and their limited time on arrival (jobs and families)... All of that doesn't mean that practically everyone thought that old man wasn't a bigot, a racist and a disgusting excuse for a human being. Unfortunately today's society is based on self worth. SirBalon
As you can all see that for all of the importance racism has, there are things more important like money first and foremost and then our individual self worth.

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted October 31, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted October 31, 2018 Halloween night tonight and the wife has bags of sweets ready for any 'Trick or Treaters' that may knock on our door but I doubt it, the two previous years at this time of the year we have had no one knock at our door, I think now it all centers around local community kiddies Halloween night and school Halloweens disco nowadays, a bit like Guy Fawkes night (Nov 5th), its all community fireworks displays and bonfires, how times change since I was a kid. Luckily this is non existent in Peru, probably because if you do trick or treating, you are the candy That said, people do go to discos and party with halloween tradition. I don't because I have no interest in socializing.
