Mate, in February I had my scan. The NHS, as much as I love them and appreciate every day the work they do, originally gave me an appointment in late June. That was the earliest I could see a specialist on their books. Thankfully I can see a private consultant through BUPA as I have their cover through my work. For the local private hospital where I live, the appointment I have in a couple of weeks now is the earliest I could get. Got a catch 22 though with the appointment - I don't want this pain because of how uncomfortable it can be but then if the pain goes, the doctors may not see anything at that time and therefore can't give any further diagnosis or prescribe any treatment. Or, I stick by the pain now, keep getting through the agony when it comes, and the doctors have something they can work on and treat. Hopefully it's not the same again tomorrow morning as there is nothing worse than packing all your fishing gear away while it's hammering it down. Who the fuck had the idea of building a city on two steep as fuck river banks. I went to go get some food and according to my phone I was right outside the place until I realised I needed to go downstairs to a street basically directly below the one I was on.
