RESULTS

COVID has well and truly hit the Place Your Bet game this week! :D 2 games postponed and as a result, it means I can post the results now

image.png

- Norwich are still bottom of the Premier League and none of the bottom teams are left to play before New Years Day so 1 point to the 6 people who wrote Norwich down to be bottom!
- St Mirren didn't beat Rangers so a point for everyone - nobody backed them to beat them!
- And the only other scenario that gained points was the Bournemouth v QPR game where only 1 goal was scored. 2 points for the 5 who predicted that!
- 10 goals were scored across the Premier League and the Championship on Wednesday which nobody guessed - due to COVID postponing a lot of games.

Table
image.png

A very low scoring round! Top of the table @RondónEFC along with @DeadLinesman in the relegation zone were the top scorers (4). @Bluewolf, @Khan of TF365 and @Dr. Gonzo failed to get their choices in (I forgot to do a reminder too!) so get 0 points. The actual lowest scorers were @Stan, @Rucksackfranzose and @Dan with just the 1 point. The other scores were 2 points for @Michael, @Lucas, Pyfish and @CaaC (John), and 3 points for @Tommy, @nudge and @Viva la FCB

RESULTS

With the Liverpool match being postponed for tonight, we can do the results early!

image.png

- @nudge and @CaaC (John) backed all the Premier League teams who were playing on Saturday to score, but they didn't so everyone else got 2 points!
- There were the same amount of home wins than there were away wins in La Liga on Sunday so the 4 who said it would be equal receive 3 points
- 6 people correctly predicted Grimsby and Halifax would draw in the National League on Monday
- 3 points gained for those who said Wolves would be the first team to score in the match against Manchester United - that goal late on was the only goal of the game
- Plenty of goals in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday as all but 3 players decided there would be less than 16 goals - there were actually 18 across the 6 games.
- The big pointer scenario was the EFL Cup Semi Final first leg winners but as there was only 1 game now due to the postponement, there was only 3 points for the 6 that predicted Chelsea to win

TABLE
image.png

A fairly high scoring week for most, with the top scorer @Michael getting a good return of 13 points. The lowest scorers were John and @Rucksackfranzose (2 points).

@Viva la FCB's 10 points were enough to get them to escape the bottom two, whilst nudge also got a good score of 11 for the round.

The rest of the scores were @Lucas (9), @Tommy (8), Pyfish, @DeadLinesman & @Dan (7) and @RondónEFC, @Stan & @Khan of TF365 (5)

Failure to make their choices means @Bluewolf and @Dr. Gonzo sit bottom of the table.
