Probably Real Madrid for the 3rd time in a row. Their squad and form is looking unreal.

Was about to say Bayern will play Arsenal in the knockout stage but then realised latter weren't in this competition xD:ph34r:

Definitely going to be Barca vs PSG at some point. A match too blatant to ignore because of the Neymar transfer.

Who will Real's closest challengers be? PSG? Bayern? Juve?

It's a Real Madrid "threepeat", I'm afraid. Pretty comfortably too. They're that good and stacked with talent and depth. Amazing chemistry. This iteration of Real Madrid could become legendary.

Bayern usually would be in the mix, but their current players don't have that chemistry you usually see with Bayern teams. Surprising, that, given that this is an Ancelotti team. Muller not playing well affects the whole team.

PSG defo a threat. The additions of Dani Alves and Neymar aside, this will be Unai Emery's 2nd year at the helm. He's a cup specialist. Won't make the same tactical mistakes as last season's historic comeback.

Barcelona, in current form, defo not ready to challenge Real Madrid. Not sure how much of a difference any additional signings will make. Neymar hotfooting it to PSG was a huge loss.

How about the British teams? Guardiola doesn't seem to have found the magic formula just yet. Chelsea don't quite have it together. I'd say Utd may surprise us and make it to the quarters or semis. This is Mourinho's 2nd season, after all. Never count him out in a competition he's enjoyed success in.

Borussia Dortmund and Napoli dark horses. I like the way Napoli plays (even if they did knock out OGC Nice, a fave team of mine, for reasons we don't need to go into here, just yet).

Juventus and Atletico are the same,  just can't get over that hump.

Yes, Barca and PSG are bound to meet at some point. It's in the cards.

So here's hoping that Barca can defy the odds and make it to the Final :)

The Final venue 2018 Kiev's Olimpiyskiy Stadium (Olympic Stadium) will also have a blue running track like 2015 Berlin's Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium). A good omen for Barca to Treble? :-D :-D

Ideal 2018 Champions League Final in Kyiv Matchups:

a) Barca vs Real Madrid (1st ever El Clasico Final)

b) Barca vs PSG

c) Barca vs Manchester City

d) Barca vs Manchester United (come full circle)

I say ideal matchups cos not sure if we can even get past the quarters, realistically speaking, even with additional signings.

Yeah O.o Why wouldn't I be? We have the best team and manager in the world, if we don't win it would be a great failure

I'd say anything but the treble is an extreme let down for you lot.

no offense, but you should be saying that after Spurs have come out of the group stages and thru to the knock-out stages.

sorry for being biased but Madrid should win it.    The game against Barcelona and Deportivo was still clear in my mind that when i watched the match of Everton VS City, i got bored.   English teams just can't compete with the current form of Madrid.  Both Manchester teams are still on their build-up stages.  Chelsea is, nevermind, i don't like Chelsea  with Conte at the helm.

Real won't win it again. Winning the competition for a second successive season was already a huge task, one that took almost 30 years to repeat. Winning it for a third time in a row seems too much, in this era.

Bayern or Juventus, at this moment, are the ones who look more likely to break Real's dominance. I'd go with the former, if I had to bet on one.

I wouldn't bet against Atletico either as the only side to eliminate them since Simeone took charge has been Real themselves. If they are able to avoid them(or finally beat them like they seem to be able to do domestically, but not in Europe) then there is nothing to stop them going all the way.
