Don't forget to get the contractors to carry out the full risk assessments before commencing work.... and make sure any equipment used is fit for purpose mate.. People get hurt all the time when carrying out heavy lifting without using the correct technique so better to be safe than sorry....

I will end you.

Gotta say I'm a fan of @SirBalon's clothing principles, but through reading them it just highlights how difficult it is to know what's good to buy and what isn't both for the environment, animals and of course humans unless you have a deep knowledge of the industry.

Still I found out New Balance make their clothes in the US and Europe so I've started to buy more of that...still got plenty of shit in my backpack mind,

Do what I do and just keep wearing stuff from the 70's.... Flares will be back in fashion one day and when they are I will be laughing at everyone spending £150+ for them....

We do have to think about these things mate because this involves capitalism in its most concentrated form.  All industries (not just the clothing industry) began to out source manufacturing back in the 70s initially, but these days this situation is practically everywhere. It's just another ingredient on why the 1% of the world's population are hoarding 80% of the world's financial wealth.  Not only that... They trick us into thinking that it's for the common good (backed mainly by governments because the few are the ones really in power) by using the "major industry is creating jobs and major industry is also playing a major role into helping third world countries develop"... Really?  xD:censored:

I appreciate that not everyone can afford to pay 70% more for a piece of clothing (using clothes in this particular argument) especially on top of all this when we're talking about everyday casual garments like a simple t-shirt or a polo shirt etc... etc...

@nudge in her last quote to me used the fact that she would rather pay €4 for a t-shirt that's made in the same manner by a high end brand name that's producing using the same methods as a low end much cheaper brand!  Of course... That's where the catch is!  Because taking for example Diesel Ind Clothing, they (like almost all of these industries with major brand names) make two lines of clothing... The cheaper line (which isn't cheap at all) that's manufactured in third world countries in sweatshops with cotton that's sourced from cheap slave driven countries where their workers die on the fields picking it or just as bad, in automated cotton fields where the earth's natural resources are being poisoned by making the cotton grow quicker which not only ruins the earth but also gives out a crap cotton that's practically worthless... There you're better off buying at Primark for example because the cotton is sourced in the same manner and the garment is produced in the same way with the price difference being astronomical.

If those that can afford to pay that bit more actually researched a little bit better, then we could force industry to return to the traditional methods, especially the biggest sinners, the major industry brand names.

There is a Levis factory here in Pakistan, material comes from Sri Lanka and manafactured here.

The workers take the extra stuff to home where they make jeans themselves by hand and sell for extra money.

The design and material is the same but the one that is manafactured in the factory has a Levis tag on it is expensive as F** but the other one that doesn't has a tag is cheaper then you can think.

I think we should just make our own clothes from now on.

Condoms for socks.

Brb going to make a sweater out of cooked spaghetti.

Funnily enough the US/Scandinavian clothing brand GANT have started producing a line of clothing made from recycled plastics and other materials that can be made into textile.  It's expensive to produce mind you which will probably make it difficult to sell.  But they (GANT) produce very good quality clothing so I would expect it will be top notch.

I've just bought this Ronaldo face mask and now I am working on the body, to turn in to this wonderful man!

i presume that mask is based on the statue of him in Madeira and not actually him.

Looks nice. How much was it?

$130AUD, so $90USD or £66GBP. Not bad for made in England. Probably going to get a navy/white one next round. It took me ages to find it as they don't exist at all in the USA and are scare in Australia, as I wanted to try a bunch of them on before I bought. The fit is the closer to the original polo, it isn't slim fit like the more common shirts. I have broad shoulders and chest so the slim fit Large looked like it was choking me and the XL was too large. It was an XL size but I find it sits between L and XL for slim fits.

It's all about Ralph Lauren in the USA which I find run HUGE. I associate them with obese men.
