Rick 1,948
Fuck, I know he's old but at 20m it's a no brainer. Would love him here.
Mel81x 3,095
Natural leader, defensive organization capabilities and a proven winner. I think at 20m that's a steal. Something isn't right here for more clubs not to be looking even if they aren't top of the list.

SirBalon 2,671
Even though it's a €20m buy-out clause, you do actually have convince the player to want to leave and join the buying club! I'd be very surprised if Godín uprooted his family and left the club where he is God for anything as trivial as wanting to prove to the fanboys that he can perform in another league. Godín has spent most of his professional career in Spain.
Aladdin 2,197
While there are some defenders who can show how to play as playmakers as well but Godin shows that when he is around keeper's job is minimum as it can get. It's fine for trying to get some sort term success, as that Inter team was set up for. But if they are trying to build a team to challenge for years to come, it's a very short sighted policy. CBs tend to be better with experience and Inter did get a lot of mileage out of Cordoba, Miranda, Zanetti, Samuel, etc If he played well for four years is that a success? When it comes at the expense of young players being sold by the club because they were desperate for short term success, I'd say it isn't. After 2010, Inter desperately held onto the same team and let them grow old together. All that for one more Coppa Italia and mediocrity. Even this last summer seen them give up Nicolò Zaniolo for a 30 year old Radja Nainggolan. All for some short term success. And then in a few years time, or in January, they'll be searching for a player to take his spot.
