Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted September 1, 2021 Subscriber Posted September 1, 2021 Little Evil (2017) - Comedy/Horror - 7.5/10 Not bad and a few laughs in it, not much of a horror really. Gary, who has just married Samantha, the woman of his dreams, discovers that her six-year-old son may be the Antichrist. Quote
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted September 2, 2021 Subscriber Posted September 2, 2021 I.T. (2016) - Crime/Drama/Mystery - Pierce Brosnan - 9/10 Good film, have not seen many films with Brosnan acting in them but I enjoyed this one. A millionaire has his life turned upside down after firing his I.T. consultant. Quote
Devil Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 Shot Caller Film about a family man who's life is turned upside down when he causes a road traffic accident that kills his friend. Film follows his first day's in jail where he realises he either joins one of the many gangs in American prisons or faces two years of absolute hell. 8/10 Quote
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted September 7, 2021 Subscriber Posted September 7, 2021 Cruella - 8/10 Surprisingly good. Emma Stone is a rockstar and she carried it well but the story was surprisingly good on its own merits. Fun flick, worth checking out. Quote
Guest Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Terminator Dark fate. 9/10 Although a lot of it it very similar to previous films I thought it was a great film. Loads of action. It's a bit predictable but still really enjoyable Quote
Subscriber Coma+ Posted September 17, 2021 Subscriber Posted September 17, 2021 Grease was on television last night and I found myself totally enthralled again. Love that movie. Quote
Spike Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Malignant Um...hmm. This is both 10/10 and 0/10. Watch it and see for yourself. I 100% recommend it. Quote
nudge Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Divergent (2016) Not great, not terrible. Quite a predictable story, and has some serious pacing issues, but overall, a decent watch. Hunger Games-like, but I actually enjoyed this one better. 6/10 Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Margin Call 9/10 Saw @True Blue and @Inverted mention it was great. It is great. 1 Quote

You may like it to be fair but these films that happen to be in series just seem to decline rapidly after the first. 1 Quote

Sequels rarely manage to keep up with the original, in general. Quote

Spike Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Candy 7/10 Narratively, it's a little weak. Jumps right into the misery-porn of addiction without giving much time to the 'heaven' side of addiction. Second scene has an overdose, within thirty minutes, the lead female is a whoring herself out. Yeah those are things that happen but from a narrative perspective it's needs to built up more so one feels more empathy for the characters. Otherwise wonderful performances from Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish, they've turned a mediocre script into a very memorable movie. Also Geoffrey Rush is in this movie for some reason, I'm guessing he owed someone a favour and had to do a job, or he just really wants to support Aussie cinema. Also fuck me dead Heath Ledger can be hard to understand sometimes, he just mumbles constantly. I swear he pronounces Geoffrey Rush's character's name 'Casper' as 'Casser'. Quote
Moderator Tommy Posted October 1, 2021 Moderator Posted October 1, 2021 Free Guy (2021) Amazing. Very different from everything I've seen before. So many funny scenes, unexpected cameos. Loved it. 8.5/10 3 Quote
Guest Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 (edited) Army of the dead 7/10. Decent enough zombie film. Although unless you really like zombie films not sure if you will like it. The plot is daft and Dave Bautiata's acting isnt great but it's a fun film. And quite funny that all the events in the film were caused by a blowjob Edited October 3, 2021 by Guest Quote

DeadLinesman Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Loved Army of the Dead if I’m honest. The Time Loop theory in it is one of the most intriguing subplots I’ve seen in some time. Quote
