Cristiano Ronaldo Joins Al-Nassr on 2-Year Deal

Heavy rumours Ronaldo's agent has been instructed to get him out of the mess that is Manchester United tonight.

If he goes then he must be seriously unhappy with the lack of transfer activity or been told there won't be any major signings this summer. He hasn't got years to waste anymore.

To be honest if we had an adequate replacement I'd see him gone, we can't rebuild around a 38 year old anymore.

Apparently Ronaldo wants out. Great news tbh. Doesn’t fit the new system, 500k a week and means we can move on quicker.

Can't believe more people aren't saying this, everyone losing their minds when it's obvious he doesn't fit the system and is taking an absolute mountain in wages each week.

Yes, he scored a load last season, but with the right recruitment the team as a whole will replace his goals.

Personally think that he will go to PSG if Neymar departs.

Didn’t fit the old system let alone new. Better for the club as a whole that you move on and stop these vanity projects

It might actually be the best thing for the team, no doubting he will score goals but it will come at a cost to the team as a whole. Everything is centered around supplying him and whilst he scored a fair few goals last season it actually took something away from his fellow attacking players,

Buffon said it about Juve, whilst he acknowledged Cristiano's greatness he said Juve lost something when he arrived. Basically they stopped playing as a team and became focused on Cristiano.

Time to move on.

Personally, I think he'll have known he wanted out a while after it became apparent there would be no Champions League next season. He's just waited and timed it well.

He's at the stage now where he wants to set as many personal records as he can, Champions League medals/goals being one of them. He's all about the individual stats, the legacy he leaves behind.

I honestly believe giving Messi a chance to finish joint or above him would kill him.

His most likely destination as it stands appears to be Atlético. That would certainly be one of the most unexpected moves ever.

@Dr. Gonzo will love them even more if they end up with an ex legend of his favourite club, Man United, on their books..

I've seen some Atletico fans on the internet losing their minds about the prospect of them signing someone they absolutely fucking hate. And it just makes me think "good, anything that lets them experience something close to as annoying as their team is to watch"

Turned up to training accompanied by Mendes so I doubt he's lacing his boots and getting down to some hard graft.

What's even more concerning is the fact Sir Alex has been photographed rolling into Carrington behind him, surely we aren't rolling the old boy out to beg him for us again.

The club should just admit it's done and dusted and move on.

Just seen this, it's all a bit of a joke, even more so given Fergie once said: "No player is bigger than the club".

I don't really like him but he is still far too good for that.

Nah he's in a very weird spot.

He can't play as a full time forward in the modern game. His legs are gone, he can't press consistently and we're half a decade past good teams playing a vanity striker who won't track back up front.

That leaves him as a bench option for a big club, but his wages and age make that unattractive, or a forward for a rich club desperate for his goals and willing to sacrifice the system to fit him and I genuinely can't think of a tier 2 team like that with pockets deep enough.

Or China/Saudis/USA. And we all know he wants to steer clear of the US.

He never did any of that though. He has always been focused on scoring, it’s just that in this zeitgeist of tactics the sort of lazy, one dimensional forward is largely outdated. Only M’bappe and Haaland can really get away with it because they are fucken fast.

If you look at most forwards these days there really isn’t any difference between winger, centre forward, attacking midfielder, it’s all the same position. Ronaldo can only pull off one of those, very well but it’s limiting these days.

Look at Man City, there really isn’t much difference between their midfield and forwards, and not much difference between the defence and midfield. That’s the track that football is going down, I’ve made comments before on how traditional ‘football positions’ are being phased out for less specialised and more broad descriptions. Ultimately we’ll just define a player based on the space they tend to occupy vertically, defence, midfield, forward. No ‘Centre left inverse cut inside wide striker’ nonsense.

The whole point of him whoring around like the last prostitute of the red streets with clubs like Bayern, Atletico etc is because it will crush his ego that the midget from PSG might have a chance to surpass his Champions League goals, so no way he will leave from Europe before making sure the other won't have a chance of accomplishing that.

This is my point. He's not worth his wages in the modern game.

Your point is my point. Besides, people are fickle, mid season I made a thread asking if he was a waste of wages. People voted no.

Now look at them pushing him out the door.

I disagree.

Kinda disrespected United as he is regarded as a "legend" at the club. Every club that signs him can only expect him playing for his personal achievements. He won't be a team player and his wages will be insane. United can now get that 500k per week of their shoulders and invest in someone else, think it is better for both sides to go their each ways.

I just wonder do United fans think his return was a good one?

Apparently he's going to 'reveal the truth' in 2 weeks xD

Which is funnily enough on deadline day.

What a mess. He complains about reading plenty of stories which are majority untrue as if he's sick of the lies, drama and speculation. Then consumes himself in such drama by making a statement that in 2 weeks he will announce everything.

What a drama queen.
