IgnisExcubitor Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 For a change Lovren had a good match, but Mignolet is such a bag of nerves. Hate to be a sour puss on a good day, but he needs urgent binning. He didn't have much to do, but could have easily conceded through his bad keeping. On a good note, Salah is just pure class. That front four looks awesome at times. Hopefully they will get a consistent run of games, if the gods of fitness throw some luck our way.
Administrator Batard Posted November 19, 2017 Administrator Posted November 19, 2017 What a finish from De Bruyne yesterday and he’s become even more immense recently. Going to be looking at player of the year award contention surely

His involvement in not only goals and assists which is the main thing, but just his way of playing the game, is so critical to the way Man City control and dominate games. He's like a floating midfielder happy to drop back and slow tempo down or push forward and link up with attackers.
6666 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Waking up to a few journalists having a meltdown over this response from the Arsenal twitter account has been a bonus. Arsenal's fault this journalist received abuse because they let people know this journalist wrote a shit article (that the journalist himself wanted views for). Football journalists, what a bunch of stupid cunts.
Toony Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Last night was inevitable really. Even when we took the lead you could still see exactly what was going to happen. City will have the league won comfortably. I think Crystal Palace & Swansea will both go down but not sure who will join them, Bournemouth picked up a bit of form. West Brom look poor but it's hard to see Pulis getting relegated.

Thought that was one of the better things Arsenal have produced on Twitter.

The guys works for the Daily Mail, who spendost of their time writing inflammatory articles. The irony of it all.
Inverted Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 The cunt wrote a lazy piece of bait to annoy some fans in order to generate some click revenue for a fascist hate machine. Fuck his tears. Constant abuse should be going his way on a daily basis anyway.
SchalkeUK Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Some years ago my lot sold one of our best up and coming youngsters because they thought he would not fit anywhere in the game. He went to Bremen and met a guy called Diego who taught him lots and lots. The young guy - named Mesut - flourished and became a really world class player - and still is.. Last season we lost a similar young guy who had a desire for a ball of his own most of the games because he lacked leadership on the field. He went to England and met up with a super young Belgian guy who has taught him loads - still more to come - but Leroy can become another Mesut with Kevin as his mentor - they are playing superbly well together and will be partly - even mainly - responsible for City winning the League and maybe more this season.. Some of the young England boys are showing great promise and their Managers should try this method of teaming them up with a clever, senior Mentor. Methinks it works!

They all lap up the humour from the German clubs and their social media, but one humourous tweet from a big English club and it's all panic stations and talk of lack of professionalism.

Fundamentally the issue with journos - even individually respectable ones turn into insufferably righteous fannies out of some weird compulsion to leap to the defense of some slimeball nobody they would otherwise never associate with.
Storts Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 So that was very disappointing. Substandard performance where we just looked disjointed and unable to cope with the high press Arsenal were deploying. Not going to make excuses like the Arsenal lot do, in particular 6666, about decisions, because even though both goals should not have stood and Mike Dean had a shocker, we did not put in a performance for me to justify moaning. Kane looked unfit and didn't have enough support. Alli is off colour although those of that think this is under par aren't really accurate. He plays like that quite often, but when he's not scoring or assisting he can be a complete passenger. His first touch is still nowhere near good enough, and he has to work on that. What is world class is his movement off the ball and ability to find dangerous positions, but unfortunately even when he got in those pockets yesterday he just kept giving the ball away. Eriksen looked tired - no surprise and wasn't able to have much influence. Sissoko was one of our better players in the sense he worked hard, made some good runs and got stuck in, but his first touch is abysmal and when he would break through the lines his awareness of play and ability to pick passes and crosses is non existent. Dembele is just so highly overrated - particularly amongst our own fanbase. Yes he's strong, yes he can dribble, but very rarely in dangerous areas. Winks is a far better option but again he wasn't fit. You could tell what sort of performance we were set for in the first 5 minutes after Dier's lazy giving the ball away. It was lacklustre and lethargic and we only had one good performance yesterday. I don't even think Arsenal were that good yesterday, but they just seemed more up for it than usual and were first to every second ball. The only stand out for us yesterday was Davinson Sanchez who just gets better and better. He's got it all and I'm excited to see how he develops. Poch got it wrong yesterday although options were limited. Why he tried to play a diamond with the midfield I don't know but they lost the battle. We were carrying too many injured players and passengers and away at Europa League sides and better you just can't get away with it. I think whilst Toby is out we should go back to a 4-2-3-1, get Dier back in the midfield and play Son as another attacking option. Dier has to be in the centre of the pitch for me and so we need to switch things up. Hurts to lose to them, although it was the first time in over 3 years so not disheartening. We're still above them and have a better team, but we have to get back to winning ways now and go on a run. We can't afford to dwell on this result too much. Pochettino needs to get stuck in and get them up for Dortmund on Tuesday.
Toony Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 A poor game today on paper really but it'll be interesting to see how West Ham look under Moyes, fancy them for a result with the new manager bounce and with Watford having a bit of a dip in form at the moment too.
Honey Honey Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Anything less than a point and surely Moyes will be under pressure
HK85 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Poch's record away at the teams in the top 6 is terrible. Time for him and Spurs to move on.

He is such an embarrassment for getting upset at this. Apparently the Mail are putting a complaint in too...
6666 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Journalists from The Sun joining in now. I knew Tottenham were media darlings but this is hilarious.

True Blue Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Not watching the game but are the stats lying or is West Ham murdering them
Subscriber Dan+ Posted November 19, 2017 Subscriber Posted November 19, 2017 West Ham should definitely have scored here to be fair.
