Sorry for trusting the guy who dethroned(defeated) the "greatest team of time" Barcelona. tbh, Citeh and man utd are the only real contenders.... Next year Liverpool, Chelsea, and arsenal will be too busy rebuilding. Mourinho will deliver trophies... The only question is how many....

Ligue 1 and Coupe de France I reckon.

Mahrez not looking likely to leave this month. Plenty of time left yet but it looks like the club are standing firm on this one. Been burnt with Kante in the past so fair play to them for learning. Take the Spurs approach.

I thought he delivered in his second season? At least that was the talk after United won their opening 5-6 games?

There's a couple on here that would have liked to see the back of him. Mad lad wasn't one. Me neither, I was annoyed at possibly losing him for fuck all, but as he showed yesterday, he can be a fucking beast on his day. Really needs to improve his consistency if he does stay.

Exactly this, it’s consistency that he needs to improve because he certainly has all the tools to be an outstanding player. It’s also worth remembering that until recently he was playing with an injury for a long time which required injections before games.

Some on here say he’s shit. Nonesense. You don’t play for Liverpool, get chased by Juventus and become a full German International from the age of 20 if you’re shit. He may not be a first team starter in every game once Kieta and another come in but he’s a great option to have in the squad for rotation etc but in saying that, he certainly has the talent to nail down a spot in the future if he carries on learning and working hard.

Apparently yesterday he played through an illness and was actually sick on the pitch which is why he had to come off. Considering his performance that’s brilliant. Dedication!

i could have sworn you couldn't wait for him to get out the door xD

Apologies if not, may be getting you and other Liverpool fans on here mixed up!

I don't really rate Can. He's got his good games, especially at the tail end of seasons which sort of inflates his reputation as he will finally get a good run of games. But for most of his time, I'd argue he's been inconsistent at best and at his worst he's ineffective and error prone. Having said that, when he's good he generally very good. And he's got all of the raw attributes and ability to be a very good central midfielder. For squad depth, he's alright... but as a regular starter I'm not sure how I feel about him.

Probably me! Always said that he wouldn't be a great loss at the moment providing we get a replacement in.

He was good yesterday but you can almost guarantee he'll stink the place out against Swansea next week

I don't agree. To be a good CM for us, you need to be mobile and intelligent, you need to be able to move the ball quickly and win the ball cleanly. Emre Can is none of those things. He's a decent squad player, in part because he's so bloody resilient, but he'll never be more than that.

I sincerely hope this doesn't mean we won't be pursuing a better holding midfielder.

Sky Sports have just announced that Manchester City have pulled out of the Alexis deal.

Sanchez is flapping like fuck blaming his agent and trying to get us back to the table xD .. the greedy cunt has tried to use United's interest to get more money from us, its back fired on him so he could be stuck with United now but Real Madrid might come and rescue him ..we also might come back to the table if he agree's to the original contract he signed in the summer.

You don’t want a player like him, a player that messes around like that mate.  To be honest, Alexis has gone down a lot in my estimations over the past year or so. Never thought he was like this with all of this faffing around.  I get anyone trying to get the best deal for themselves but this is just over the top and right now I only hope he ends up at United to mess up his career with Mourinho. He’ll waste him till his last ounce without caring to harness only what he’s good at.

Even so, imagine playing the last years of your career under a bloke like Mourinho, a bloke that constantly throws his players under a bus to deflect the fact that he’s losing his mind?

Nah, I just can’t see why he’d want to join Utd over City other than for financial reasons.

Actual professionals would love to play under him, you are making it out as if Mourinho is done for and managing Watford or Everton.

Hes the manager of Manchester United and spends nearly as much as City do, they will be competitive next season.

City can't get much better than they currently are whereas United now have something to strive for points-wise.

He’s forever ostracising his players, falling out with them, singling players out, throwing them under a bus or totally losing the dressing which ends in them downing tools and him being sacked.

Some players may love playing for him granted but there’s been many that can’t stand his guts and it’s usually the flair attacking players he falls out with.

I mean, are you telling me that an attacking player would rather play under Mourinho than Pep? Nah, I’m not wearing that! This is absolutely for financial reasons and nothing more.
