Administrator Stan Posted December 3, 2018 Administrator Posted December 3, 2018 Turns out it was Martin Solveig and he's come out with some weak ass apology

Machado Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Hey I can't hate the guy who made the song "Hello". Lots of good memories with that tune back in the days.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted December 4, 2018 Subscriber Posted December 4, 2018 Poor Kylian was anticipating something too.
Dave Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 She handled it very well to be fair. A PR nightmare for Martin Solveig and I think he knows it.

Moderator Tommy Posted December 4, 2018 Moderator Posted December 4, 2018 Oh my. What an idiot In the apology video he said it had something to do with his English level? But he asked her in French?

Dave Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Why did FIFA think having a DJ present this award for the first ever time was a great idea anyway?
Inverted Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Makes me feel sick to see someone have such an enormous moment ruined because of some ratty little wanker thinking he's funny. She could easily batter him, too. I'd love to see it.

True Blue Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Great joke, really appropriate. She felt embarrassed and he looked like a tool. I don't watch or rate women football but no need to make a mockery of it.

Nobody is demanding that people be fans of women's football, but nobody can look at scenes like that and deny that there is a desperate lack of respect for it. Whatever our opinions are, a person who has devoted their life to reaching the peak of their field was given one moment of recognition on the world stage, and the host couldn't even restrain himself from making a humiliating, asinine joke for that brief time. There's something wrong.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted December 4, 2018 Subscriber Posted December 4, 2018 Ridiculous attempt at banter from an absolute bellend. What does Martin Solveig have to do with football that he's awarding the Ballon D'Or? Did they get some bad celebrity to award the men's? I genuinely don't know. Hopefully it gets held up as a prime example of everything football is railing against to eliminate the inequality.
Bluewolf Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 The bloke has to be some sort of cunt to try and pull something like that during the presentation... he deserves a good smack in the mouth... She handled herself well to her credit although clearly felt uncomfortable about the whole thing.. I am not given for emotional people but it might have been better if she left the stage as soon as the presentation had been given then all eyes would have been on that inconsiderate wanker..
Honey Honey Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 More digging from him today. Now saying it was meant as a contrast with Frank Sinatra. What.
Administrator Batard Posted December 5, 2018 Administrator Posted December 5, 2018 She rightly didn't look too impressed by his idiocy
