What me and the wife would do before the kids went to bed was leave a glass of milk & a biscuit which was supposed to be for Santa as we told them, once they went to bed I would demolish half the biscuit and drink the milk and leave it beside the fireplace, then get the presents out and sit them beside the Christmas tree. Me and the wife lying in bed around 4 am and hear our daughter trying to whisper to her bruv "I wonder if Santa has been yet?...", then hear her sneak down the stairs and then a big scream that would wake the whole neighbourhood up "MUM, DAD, DARREN, SANTA HAS BEEN, HE HAS EATEN HIS BISCUITS AND DRUNK HIS MILK!!!!" That was a sign for me and the wife to get up and head down the stairs and watch the 2 of them demolish the Christmas paper on the presents and open them up. Nowadays we have a son & daughter with 3 grandsons and they will all be doing the same thing as years gone by, sigh, how times flys. ps...and the fucking cat has just jumped on this keyboard, knocked half the post off and I had to re-type it!!!!
