Honey Honey
Quote Bookies have cut the odds on Tottenham striker Harry Kane, 23, signing for Manchester United from 20-1 to 6-1. (Daily Star) However, Spurs have laughed off United's interest in the England international, with chairman Daniel Levy valuing Kane at close to £200m. (Independent) How much is Kane worth? Would you want your club to pay £200m for him?
SirBalon
Well you know what's going to come out of this... He's priced like that because he's English. Absolutely not worth that at all because then we have to make comparisons with others and what they should be worth.
Berserker
I'd say around 55-65M.
The Liquidator
To Spurs, probably Yes.... To everyone else, No
Administrator Stan Posted June 26, 2017 Administrator Share Posted June 26, 2017 Nope. But obviously Spurs doing the right thing to deter clubs from bidding. Smack an unrealistic value on him. Don't blame them.
Danny
Can't blame Spuds, it'll deter a few clubs
Toony
They've done the right thing, he's everything to Spurs and is still young and probably hasn't even peaked yet. They can't afford to lose him.
Pep Talk
Not close but in the premier league? Sure as he's English.

The only way he will leave Spurs is if he's in the last year of his contract and tries to hold the club to ransom, there's no way Levy will let go of his prized asset on the cheap. 1 hour ago, Stan said: Nope. But obviously Spurs doing the right thing to deter clubs from bidding. Smack an unrealistic value on him. Don't blame them. Both of these.... Ridiculous asking price and hyper inflated, but as above to either deter prospective buyers or mug someone off if they are silly enough to want to try and meet the asking price
Harry
£200m. Levy translation: "We value Harry Kane at approximately FUCK-OFF million pounds"

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 26, 2017 Subscriber Share Posted June 26, 2017 Nobody is worth 200m as a signing but to Spurs it probably would take that much money for a sale to be in their interests. He will be a one club man in my opinion unless Spurs go backwards again and he keeps scoring 30 a season whilst getting nowhere near silverware. Cicero
No. But in today's market, easily 70 million.
Danny
If Paul Pogba is worth £89m then Harry Kane is worth more.

The Artful Dodger
It's not a 'ridiculous asking price' at all, it's a hands off sign. How many players have scored so many in the premier league by his age and his record is fairly decent against the better sides too, unlike Lukaku. I was a doubter but he can't be denied, one of the top strikers around at the moment.

SirBalon
Club football around the world is measured at European competition level both with elite clubs and elite players. Not saying Kane isn't good because he obviously is, but he is also an enigma on the international scene and only visible at domestic level. There has been players that were world class but never shown it at European Club level. Alan Shearer. You really shouldn't judge players on what they have won. Luke Chadwick has more Premiere League title medals than Steven Gerrard for example. Judge a player on his ability, not on how well the team he played for performed in Europe.
