Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted August 5, 2019 Author Subscriber Posted August 5, 2019 Champions Manchester City are set to complete the £32m signing of Juventus and Portugal full-back Joao Cancelo, 25, with Brazil right-back Danilo, 28, heading in the opposite direction. (Mail)
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted August 5, 2019 Subscriber Posted August 5, 2019 This is actually a good thing for City. Granted they already have good full-backs but Cancelo is actually a step up on Walker imo who was fantastic yesterday but was found wanting at times.
True Blue Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 He miles better than Walker, not that sure he is that need tough.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted August 5, 2019 Subscriber Posted August 5, 2019 Should be a good signing. Danilo has been a proper flop though.
LFCMadLad Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 City just luurv spending shitloads on FB's dont they? Ours cost us about £8m, City's cost about £300m FFP wont be arsed though, never are when its City.
carefreeluke Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I wanted him for Chelsea a while back. Should be a class signing.

I remember the amount of praise Moses and Alonso got not long ago. One's currently on loan at Fenerbahce, the other is now 2nd choice to Emerson. How times change.
Redcanuck Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 People seem to think he starts over Walker, is that true?
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted August 7, 2019 Author Subscriber Posted August 7, 2019 Manchester City will confirm the signing of Joao Cancelo from Juventus on Wednesday after the 25-year-old Portugal defender passed his medical with the Premier League champions. (Star)

Machado Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 Massive improvement in the position if you ask me.

Money, they make big signings but have to sell big players to compensate that, despite their success they haven't got the financial muscle of the brits, the top 3 spanish, PSG or Bayern.

Administrator Stan Posted August 8, 2019 Administrator Posted August 8, 2019 Great signing for City. Don't think they had any other RBs apart from Walker? Good competition for places and given the amount of games they play each season, I can see why they've made this signing. Much better than Danilo I think so I'm surprised Juve were up for the deal.
