Freiburg caused the majority of the damage as they could only muster a 1-1 draw from behind against struggling Darmstadt, wiping out @Viva la FCB, @...Dan, @Pyfish, @Tommy, @Stan, @Dan, @Lucas and @Storts. Also eliminated on Saturday was @CaaC (John), who took a risk on Augsburg to win at out of form Union Berlin, but was also scuppered by a 1-1 draw. The curse of that scoreline continued on Sunday as Hoffenheim flopped at home to Mainz to the chagrin of @Rucksackfranzose and @Redcanuck. I don't know if we've ever had quite this bad of a first Gameweek in a Last Man Standing competition. Hopefully we'll see you all again in the next round! Survivors (6) Just about enough players made it through Gameweek One to prevent us from reaching tie breaker territory already. Friday night saw @RandoEFC, @Bluewolf, @Michael and @Rick use up their Bayern Munich "freebie" although even they weren't overly convincing with a 1-0 win at Koln. The only other successful pick this week was Leverkusen, @nudge and @6666 profiting from their 3-0 win at Werder Bremen. That's a point on the board and progress through a tricky and blood-soaked first weekend in Germany - well done and read ahead for the next set of fixtures.
