Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 9, 2021 Author Subscriber Posted June 9, 2021 We're sat on a very handsome 30 entrants so far. The first game is in just 2 days so make sure you've made your pick if you want to play!

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 11, 2021 Author Subscriber Posted June 11, 2021 Results - Matchday 1A Casualties (0) The best thing about tournament editions of Last Man Standing? Daily updates! Unsurprisingly, Turkey were short of backers in their opener against Italy so we make it through the first game without any casualties and the Wooden Spoon is still up for grabs. Survivors (3) Italy were one of the seven sides who have been backed in the first set of fixtures, and their comfortable 3-0 win sees @RandoEFC, @Dr. Gonzo and @Bluewolf over the first hurdle. Congratulations all round! Feel free to make your picks for Matchday 2 at your leisure - fixtures below. Not in play today (29) With what looks like a final roster of 32 players, the majority are yet to learn their fate for the first game. Tomorrow sees interest in all three games for nine further competitors, Robbie the sole backer of Switzerland against Wales in the other Group A game, Stan and Tommy backing Denmark against Finland and no less than six players going with the seemingly safe bet of Belgium against Russia. Good luck to all involved! Full results to date: Fixtures - Matchday Two You can make your Matchday Two picks as soon as you've qualified. I'll start tagging two days before the next set of games gets underway for those that take their time. My pick for Gameweek Two is Ukraine. (for now)

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 13, 2021 Author Subscriber Posted June 13, 2021 Results - Matchday 1B Casualties (4) The second day of EURO 2021, and the first full schedule of games, saw the first smattering of casualties in the Last Man Standing competition. @Robbie takes the dubious honour of being the first to be eliminated, after watching Switzerland fail to convert their 1-0 lead over Wales into victory. Later on, @Tommy, @Stan and, after changing his original pick, @Lucas saw curtains having backed Denmark to overcome Finland. The circumstances of Denmark's defeat were traumatic and possibly controversial but rules are rules. Thanks for playing, chaps! Survivors (5) The number of happy Last Man Standers at the end of yesterday's action outstripped the number of casualties by one. Belgium were the only one of the three sides that saw some backing yesterday to deliver victory, seeing @Devil, @The Palace Fan, @CaaC (John), @Machado and @...Dan safely through to the second matchday. You're all welcome to make your picks for the next Gameweek at any point from now. Not in play today (23) The 5 additional survivors from today takes the total already through to Matchday 2 up to 8. Twenty players, all backing Austria, Portugal or Poland, are all yet to learn their fate, with Austria, the most popular pick overall in Matchday 1, up against North Macedonia later today. The closer-looking matches between England and Croatia, and Netherlands and Ukraine, were universally avoided by all. Matchday 2 Fixtures Those that are through to Matchday Two can make their picks any time.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 13, 2021 Author Subscriber Posted June 13, 2021 Results - Matchday 1C Casualties (0) There may have been a few squeaky bums this afternoon with the popular Austria toiling at times against North Macedonia, but we've made it through the third day of the competition without any further casualties. Survivors (11) No less than eleven entrants backed Austria to beat perceived whipping boys North Macedonia in the opening round of games, and although the game was level until the 78th minute, a 3-1 win for Alaba and co sees @McAzeem, @Pyfish, @nudge, @Dan, @Rick, @Whiskey, @Redcanuck, @Michael, @Rucksackfranzose, @Asura and @Eco safely through to Matchday Two. Congratulations to you all, see the next set of fixtures at the end of the post and make your next picks when you're ready. Not in play today (17) Eight competitors were through before a ball was kicked today, with the total number of survivors for this round now amounting to 19 players and counting. Nine entrants are yet to learn their fate in the opening set of games, with Toinho and Chaaay AFC up next tomorrow, having backed Poland to beat Slovakia in St. Petersburg. Matchday Two fixtures With the second round of group games starting on Wednesday, I will be tagging those who are through the first round and yet to make their next pick in tomorrow's update - it's coming around fast!
