Welcome to the belated return of the Last Man Standing League. Apologies for the late start, but I've been bombarded with various weddings and travels this summer. I'll tag all of those that took part last season, but anyone is of course free to join as always.

@nudge @Dan @Stan @DeadLinesman @Michael @Bluewolf @Whiskey @6666 @Tommy @Redcanuck @Beelzebub @Lucas @Rucksackfranzose @Rick @Viva la FCB @...Dan @Pyfish @Storts @CaaC (John) @The Liquidator @N U F C

No rule changes for this season. Simply pick a match winner each week, without using any team you've picked before. If they win, you survive, if they don't, then you're out. We'll deal with tie breakers as and when they crop up but anyone who has played in the past will be familiar with these.

Preview - Gameweek One

Below are our first set of fixtures, which take place next weekend, starting on Friday night.

Chelsea vs Luton

Bournemouth vs Tottenham

Arsenal vs Fulham

Brentford vs Crystal Palace

Everton vs Wolves

Man United vs Nottm Forest

Brighton vs West Ham

Burnley vs Aston Villa

Sheff Utd vs Man City

Newcastle vs Liverpool

My pick for Gameweek One is Chelsea. Good luck!

Results - Gameweek One

Casualties (7)

One week down, and one mini-massacre for Last Man Standing this season. Arsenal proved to be the terrorists this time, with their failure to defeat Fulham at the Emirates seeing @Rucksackfranzose, @Lucas, @Storts, @Bluewolf, @N U F C, @Michael and @Rick sidelined without a point in Round 1.

Survivors (13)

A good turnout of 20 people this year and about two-thirds of them have cleared the first hurdle. Chelsea delivered their first win of the season against Luton on Friday night, providing safe passage for @RandoEFC, @CaaC (John), @Tommy, @Whiskey, @Stan, @Dan, @nudge and @Viva la FCB. Those who backed Man Utd were made to sweat after they fell two goals behind in the opening minutes to Nottingham Forest, but their eventual 3-2 victory sees @DeadLinesman, @Redcanuck, @6666 and @...Dan make it to Gameweek Two. Finally, @Pyfish was the only person to take a slightly different route in Gameweek One, and it paid dividends with Villa's 3-1 win at Burnley seeing him progress.

Please see ahead for Gameweek Two's fixtures!
