Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 22, 2018 Author Subscriber Share Posted June 22, 2018 Update - Day Nine Casualties (0) After a day off, we returned to action this afternoon, but the grim reaper is still kept waiting for the next victim of the competition. Survivors (1) @El Profesor took the brave route of choosing an alternative to the popular Uruguay this time around, and instead kept faith with his native team Brazil in a game they expected to win against Costa Rica. After 90 minutes of squeaky bum time, El Profesor was out of his seat with elation as Coutinho and Neymar secured his route into the next round of the Last Man Standing competition, and as an added bonus, he saw his country pick up their first win of the Group Stage. Celebrate Brazil, folks. @El Profesor you can now make your pick for the third round of the competition from the last set of group games below. Not in play today (24) So far, the second round of fixtures have failed to claim a single victim, and 22 of the remaining 25 players are already into the third round. If England can defeat Panama on Sunday, the three lions left in limbo will complete a perfect round from the community. How boring. Day off tomorrow, but we still have plenty of players yet to make their picks for the next stage as the world calculates the permutations for each team going into the last set of Group Stage fixtures. Keep them coming folks, I will tag individuals on Sunday night if they haven't made their choices. In the mean time, enjoy the football! Round 3 (Group Stage 3) Fixtures Uruguay v Russia Saudi Arabia v Egypt Spain v Morocco Iran v Portugal Australia v Peru Denmark v France Nigeria v Argentina Iceland v Croatia South Korea v Germany Mexico v Sweden Serbia v Brazil Switzerland v Costa Rica Japan v Poland Senegal v Colombia Panama v Tunisia England v Belgium

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 24, 2018 Author Subscriber Share Posted June 24, 2018 Update - Day Eleven Casualties (0) With all the drama of an Allardyce-Pulis derby where both sides can guarantee safety with a draw, the Last Man Standing ends a fifth consecutive day without losing a single competitor. Survivors (3) No sweat this afternoon for the Three Lions of England, and no sweat for the remaining contenders - @LFCMike, @Rucksackfranzose and @Asura - who successfully backed England to beat Panama, and in doing so complete a perfect second round for the TF365 community in the Last Man Standing contest. The three of you, along with the other 22 competitors are free to make your pick from the final round of group games listed below, remembering that you cannot pick either of the teams that have got you this far. Not in play today (22) With all 25 players who survived Round One successfully going one better, I'm now going to tag the other 22 players who have made it into the next phase. This will include those who have already made their predictions, in case anyone wants to change their original pick based on results that have occurred since you made this decision. Apologies to those people who have no desire to change their choice, if this is you then please simply ignore the notification. Those of you who do want to change your picks, just a reminder to please post a new message rather than editing your existing post with the original pick. Into Round 3 then: @Dan, @Stan, @nudge, @Devon Von Devon, @...Dan, @DeadLinesman, @The Artful Dodger, @Teso dos Bichos, @BounceAroundTheGround, @Tommy, @shut up, @Bluewolf, @Cannabis, @bozziovai, @Berserker, @El Profesor, @Toinho, @Machado, @Mel81x, @Viva la FCB, @Lucas, @Marc. Don't be shy folks, as the first Round Three games kick off tomorrow at 3pm (UK time). If you don't see this before the first games kick off, not to worry. Remember you can still make a pick after tomorrow's games kick off as long as your pick obviously hasn't yet kicked off, AND you can change your pick to another one at any time provided that neither your previous pick or new pick have kicked off, whilst always bearing in mind that you can't use the same team in more than one round. I think that pretty much covers it, enjoy the conclusion to the Group Stage everyone! Round 3 (Group Stage 3) Fixtures Uruguay v Russia Saudi Arabia v Egypt Spain v Morocco Iran v Portugal Australia v Peru Denmark v France Nigeria v Argentina Iceland v Croatia South Korea v Germany Mexico v Sweden Serbia v Brazil Switzerland v Costa Rica Japan v Poland Senegal v Colombia Panama v Tunisia England v Belgium

Just to be clear, you had Russia for the first round, Portugal for the second round, and Brazil to beat Serbia for the upcoming third round. Do you want to stick with Brazil to beat Serbia? Or change to Japan to beat Poland?
