Welcome back to the game folks! I'll tag everyone who has taken part so far to alert you to the start of the Serie A competition. If you are not interested in taking part in this round, feel free to ignore this post, if you didn't take part in the previous rounds but want to get on board now, that's great - the more the merrier, as always. Obviously if you're not in for Gameweek One you won't be able to join in later on so get your picks in ASAP.

You lot feel free to tag anyone who's not on the list but might be interested.

A quick reminder of the rules for those taking part:

- You only need to pick a team to win each Gameweek. If they win, you survive to the next week, if not, you are out of this round.

- You are not allowed to pick any team more than once.

- Your score for this round is the number of Gameweeks you successfully call right, plus any bonus points.

- You receive 3 bonus points for being the Last Man Standing, 2 bonus points for being second and 1 bonus point for finishing third.

- We can have joint 2nd and joint 3rd places but the Last Man Standing must be just one person.

- *Rule Change Alert* In order to preempt the situations we've found ourselves in in each of the last two rounds, the tie breaker scenario will now be introduced when we get down to fewer than 5 survivors. If you are in the last four, you will now be asked to pick a "first goalscorer of the weekend", in case all of the remaining contenders all fail to pick a winner. Only in these circumstances will the first goalscorer tie breaker come into play.

If anyone has any further question, feel free to ask, but I like to think most of you probably know the score by now.

Preview - Gameweek One

As is my custom, here are the odds on the first set of fixtures, that take part between next Saturday (15 December) and Tuesday (18 December). Happy picking folks!

Inter Milan (1.40) vs Udinese (8.00)

Torino (6.50) vs Juventus (1.53)

Spal (2.00) vs Chievo (4.00)

Fiorentina (1.80) vs Empoli (4.00)

Frosinone (3.60) vs Sassuolo (2.00)

Sampdoria (1.85) vs Parma (4.00)

Cagliari (7.00) vs Napoli (1.50)

Roma (1.33) vs Genoa (9.00)

Atalanta (2.30) vs Lazio (3.10)

Bologna (5.00) vs AC Milan (1.66)

Due to the gaps between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots' in this league, this could end up being a lengthy round, and this is evidenced in the presence of no less than 7 odds-on winners from this week's ten matches.

Choose your weapons gents (and ladies).

My pick for Gameweek One is Roma.
